Fair enough…but - like you say - we sometimes need to admonish one another, which is what I chose to do.It’s pretty simple, James. No retraction means no acknowledgment that there was any libel, and, there was. I’m not holding a grudge, but most people would consider it rude and condescending to offer a person forgiveness for what they are not sorry for.
All I am doing is pointing out the libel. I could report him for violating forum rules, but I’m not. I’m hoping he will recognize the truth and act accordingly. I’m not losing any sleep over this, either. But since you did bring up Agape, I will simply point out that it is uncharitable to see someone sin and fail to admonish them. I am not offended so much as God is. I really couldn’t care less, but for Darryl’s own benefit, he should retract his false statement about me.
As I read through the exchange, what I picked up was a lack of charity on both sides.
It’s possible I read too much into things…we are in a limited media…If I did, then I apologize.
The matter was especially disturbing to me as this is a thread about love…Turning the other cheek can go a long way.
Peace
James
