…And you’re proof of this is?

I live in Canada, and we laugh at America for being the only developed nation with no nationalized health care. If the Stupak amendment is not in the bill, then okay, oppose the bill. But the very idea of wanting a system where only the rich can have health care is ludicrous.
Spoken like a true Canadian who does not know what he is talking about. Laugh at us if you will, but I would rather have the opportunity to have quality health care. There are ways to fix what is wrong with our system. We do need to make changes, but to turn the whole system, that at least 80% of us like what we have, upside down is folly. I had the pleasure of living in Ontario for three years while my husband was transferred there on business and darn near died in your system. What happened to me there would not have happened in the States. If that is the system you prefer, please enjoy. But don’t criticize that which you have not experienced.

I’m not rich, neither are my sisters and brother, nor were my mom and dad, grandmother or grandfather, yet we all have/had received health care. So where do you get this notion “where only the rich can have health care?”
