The God they worship and proposed here is called SHARIA LAW. If you want to go along, to get along, then be my guest.
As far as I know, pigs and apes do not speak human languages or engage in human debates and discussions. So the idea that any human could “respond like a pig or an ape” and thereby justify what those sources quoted (if true) call Jews and Christians, is truly ridiculous. There’s no better way to prove the accusation of being a pig or an ape, than by responding like a pig or an ape.
I was wondering about Crayola Crayons Their black crayon has the word “Negro” which I assume is the Spanish word for “Black”Eh, unless it’s overtly offensive, like the N-Word I call them whatever. I’m not too concerned about avoiding eggshells.
Edit: just found out that you can’t even say the “N-Word” in order to demonstrate it’s an offensive term. Oh jeez…![]()
Nothing new about the term…Mohammedanism. Pretty sure followers of Catholicism and Judaism would prefer not to be called Infidels also.

But that’s only a few people who call us Infidels. Every Muslim I’ve met personally has spoken very highly of Christianity and Judaism. Even if they did, shouldn’t we treat them with respect nonetheless? Turn the other cheek, or whatever?
The above two statements are yours. Below in capital letters.Hi guys, I’m mostly a lurker here but I wanted to post something that’s bothered me. I’ve seen people here, on a couple occasions, using the term “Mohammedan” to refer to Muslim people and practices, and “Mohammedanism” to refer to Islam.
I never refused to call people what they are. If a Muslim persecutes a Christian, then I will gladly call him/her a Muslim terrorist, because that is what he/she is.Absolutely in our view. I guess your feelings would be the same for those that persecute Christians. Shame on those that accept those that persecute followers of Christ. Turning the other cheek doesn’t mean not calling people for what they are.
You are going a long way to support my conversion to the Orthodox faith.
Ummm…wrong. Imams at Friday prayers frequently refer to us as infidels. And since most people listening to them lack much education and are not able to get news outside of what their countries allow they have no idea what the real story is. Muslims hate Christians and Jews because their koran specifically tells them to. I’ve read it. Have you?The above two statements are yours. Below in capital letters.
- ONLY FEW PEOPLE CALL US INFIDELS and not all the people
- ON COUPLE OCCASIONS. and not all the occasions.
AlltheRoses…I have on problem with what you believe. The problem is that many have a problem with what many of my ilk believe. Have you read the koran. There is no such thing as a moderate muslim. That equates to a Christian denying the divinity of Christ. And my spiritual journey is full of disappointment with the Catholic hierarchy. They have mislead the sheep in a terrible way over the last 30 years. Lots of lying and deceit. Not what I would call acting as a shepherd in the place of Christ.I never refused to call people what they are. If a Muslim persecutes a Christian, then I will gladly call him/her a Muslim terrorist, because that is what he/she is.
I never presented persecution as acceptable. I merely insisted and continued to insist that using slurs instead of being respectful in the name of Jesus is not what I think that a Christian is called to do.
I’m sorry if my words cause you to re-think your spiritual journey, but I’m only trying to live according to how I believe Christ wants me to act. I’m not going to change that just because my decision to refuse to defend the use of derogatory terms for people of other faiths offends you.
May God bless you.
I understand that you are frustrated, but how is this relevant? And my spiritual journey is full of disappointment with the Catholic hierarchy. They have mislead the sheep in a terrible way over the last 30 years. Lots of lying and deceit. Not what I would call acting as a shepherd in the place of Christ.
It’s relevant because the CC has become a PC institution when it comes to islam. When someone from the Church speaks the truth and muslims don’t like it…they back down. As Benedict did several years ago.I understand that you are frustrated, but how is this relevant?![]()
I agree. It’s relevant because the CC has become a PC institution when it comes to islam.
If he’s Presbyterian/Reformed, you might consider beginning to call his denomination Genevianism. What’s good for the goose… is good for the gander. All afflicted with prejudice deserve a taste of their own medicine. When my dad refers to my faith, he calls it “Romanism” or “Romishism,” and refuses ever to use the appropriate term, “Catholic.”
Agreed.People need to drop this idea that if you disagree with someone else’s beliefs then you have to find every way express at every opportunity how much disdain you have for their religion. That is no way to evangelize.
I’m from the New York area, so I really do understand the wariness that people have when it comes to Muslims and Islam, because the memory of 9/11 and those from my town who never made it home will always be with me.AlltheRoses…I have on problem with what you believe. Thanks for at least trying to understand.I’m from the New York area, so I really do understand the wariness that people have when it comes to Muslims and Islam, because the memory of 9/11 and those from my town who never made it home will always be with me.
I have not read the Koran. My current project for religious reading is actually the Bible. I’ve never actually read it all the way through by myself, so that’s where I’m at right now:blush:
I do know that there are verses in the Koran that promote violence and discrimination against Jewish people and Christians, and I do think that Muhammad was a false prophet. (I’m inclined to believe that he was influenced by early Christian heresies, invented his final prophethood himself to give himself power, had seizures that made him imagine a prophet when he was not, or was simply given his Koran by a demon. The account of his supposed interaction with Gabriel doesn’t match any other account of Gabriel’s behavior.) I believe that there are good people very devoted to God among Muslims (I’ve met them), and I do wish that the dedication and love they have toward God could be directed and converted to worshiping God in the framework of Christianity. Many Muslims in the Middle East are misguided and brainwashed, and I really pray that the hatred and poverty in that portion of the globe comes to an end.
I’m sorry that your experience with the Catholic hierarchy has been so poor over the past thirty years. I hope that you find some peace and that your faith in the Catholic Church’s hierarchy can be restored.
If I can try to understand Muslims, whom I don’t share a lot religiously with, I can certainly try to understand my fellow Christians. Coming here wouldn’t be very fun or productive for me if I didn’t try to do thatThanks for at least trying to understand.
God Bless you!![]()
Good points. I wrote in haste and out of irritation. I would revise my suggestion to:When did not returning evil for evil…insult for insult…anger for anger become an issue of “PC”? I thought it was a matter of charity toward others…
" Love is patient, love is kind… It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ** It does not dishonor others**, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,** it keeps no record of wrongs**. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres…" 1 Cor 13 4-7
