I can understand your situation. I’m in a similar one, though I haven’t considered suicide. I am without a job and I feel so helpless sometimes, but I am under psychiatric care. Have you considered talking to someone you trust–a family member or a close friend? Sometimes it helps to just get this stuff out in the open and get it off your shoulders. It might even help to talk to a priest or pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Christ knows all too well our struggles and suffering and is there to comfort us. I know it seems difficult sometimes, but you must keep holding on and praying. Ending your life is not the answer. I tell people who are considering it to think about their family and friends and the trauma they would go through if they lost you. Sometimes, people think they are doing them a favor by leaving, but, believe me, you are not.
You are not alone in this. There are so many resources for people who are struggling in life. Use them! NAMI has support groups all over this country and there are hotlines where you can to a person immediately if you are thinking of suicide. 1-800-SUICIDE is the most well known hotline.

Also, have you looked into receiving free or low-cost therapy and medication assistance in your county? I am under state care because I am unemployed and, even though it isn’t the best there is, I am feeling better each day. Look under the state listings in your phone book. It should be under “mental health”, “community health”, or “public health.”
*Hear my prayer, O God,
give ear to my supplications!
In your faithfulness answer me,
in your righteousness!
Enter not into judgment with your servant
for no one living is righteous before you.
For the enemy has pursued me,
has crushed my life to the ground,
and has made me sit in darkness like those long dead.
Therefore my spirit faints within me;
my heart within me is appalled.
I remember the days of old,
I meditate on all that you have done;
I muse on what your hands have wrought,
I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.
Make haste to answer me, O God, My spirit fails!
Hide not your face from me,
lest I be like those who go down to the Pit,
Let me hear in the mourning of your steadfast love,
for in you I put my trust.
Teach me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
Deliver me, O God, from my enemies.
I have fled to you for refuge!
Teach me to do your will for you are my God!
Let your good spirit lead me on a level path!
Glory be to the Father,
and the Son,
and the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning
is now and ever shall be world without end.
Amen.*
