Prayers continue, especially when I don’t get to post …

We seek thy merciful aid, St. Peregrine, especially for those afflicted or threatened by cancer, by any ailment of the foot, or by any incurable diseases. Please help us quickly to find a cure for cancer, and a remedy for all our human infirmities of soul, mind, and body. Amen.

V. Keep us, O Lord, as the apple of Thine Eye,

Jesus please help Jim to get through each day with You by his side.
St Therese who struggled with doubts and much suffering in her last illness, please pray for Jim for peace and trust always.

O dearest comforter of the troubled, Alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to heath again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge.your holy will and know that whatsoever you do,
you do for the love of us. Amen.”

Loving God,

Your will is the path we must follow and your love is the love we must share with your people each day. Please bless our friend Jim and help him to understand and be comfortable with the path you would have him walk. Please continue to give him strength, courage, and an even, positive nature which is such a wonder and blessing to behold. Please hear the prayers of your people on behalf of our friend and his family who cares so much for him. Please comfort this man and his family, and help him to find your joy in his suffering. Lord, please especially help Jim in this current time of uncertainty to focus on your love for him and help him to transition to the next phase of his life in accordance with your Holy and perfect will.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Lord, Jim’s journey is more difficult than he could have imagined a few years ago. Please, each day give him the strength he need, and grant his wife and family all the courage they need to be there for him and each other in the best way.

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant,Jim, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I continue to thank God and pray for all of you. Looking back, this was all ‘supposed to be’ finished in December 2008 at the end of chemotherapy, then I would simply go back to work and live would be normal again. Well, it is normal - just a new normal in which everything is abnormal! I thank God for giving me this past year, which was not originally granted to me, but which prayer has brought about. As we enter advent, may we be captured by the mystery and wonder of the season. Lord, help us to avoid the secular season that demands so much of us and drains us spiritually and financially. Grant us the peace of Mary, who pondered so many things in her heart. Amen! Alleluia!
