O Good St. Anne
you who cured the sick
and laid a healing hand upon the lame,
the blind, and the crippled,
look with compassion upon me in my trouble.
If it is not God’s Will to cure me,
give me strength to bear my burden
and offer it up to Him,
who suffered so much for me.
Give me grace to offer my sufferings
in union with Jesus’,
in reparation for my sins and those of others,

Loving God,

We lift up in prayer today our friend Jim who continues to carry the Cross with your son Jesus. We thank you for helping him to maintain strong faith, hope, and courage in the promise of your divine providence. We ask for your continued blessings and strength for Jim, and for comfort and consolation from your Holy Spirit for his family who loves him so much. Please bless all these dear people and hear the persistent prayers of your people for Jim in accordance with your Holy and perfect will.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

I received word form my employer of 31 years that I must make a decision to return to full duty, retire, or face termination. I have until May 31st to act. They allowed that much time only because my wife is out of the country, caring for her dying mother. I have not told my wife, as she has enough on her plate right now. I could probably go back to work, but my doctor advises against it. As well, the Lord is calling me to the next stage of my life. I must pull the plug and abandon myself to God’s divine providence. I have been talking the talk. It is time to begin walking. Your faithful prayer support has aided me thus far, and will support me from here on. God bless each of you!

Dear Jim i feel for you so much.You have been so brave and faithful.Trust in the Lord for the next chapter of your life.our health is of much greater importance than your job.I know this will make things tough financially but God will make a way available.

This seems somewhat harsh…I’m sorry for that and will pray for your employer and most especially for God’s care for you and your dear wife. The Lord knows this and can care for us better than anyone else. I will pray for His provision for you and your family. Praying without ceasing…

Lord, encourage my brother and give him peace in a situation that is anything but peaceful. Increase his faith in You and use him for Your glory. Provide for his everyday needs and for his family. Be the strength his wife needs at this most difficult time for her. I lift them up before You dear Lord and trust Your care for them. In Jesus’ most precious name I pray, amen.

Yes, Jim…although I’ve never been in your shoes I seem to understand what you mean about fighting cancer is easier to fight than your employer. I will continue to pray for you and your employer.
