First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone reading these words.
I was watching the Papal Mass from St. Peter’s a little earlier, and a thought occurred to me. We have heard a great deal of the new translation of Mass coincident with the Third Typical Edition, which we have just started using in the US. But the Third Typical Edition was promulgated in Latin in 2000, and has been in use by the Vatican for a while now. I didn’t see any difference between what was done in the Papal Mass and the liturgy that we’ve been used to for these past several years (besides the language used).
So besides the new translation (the work of ICEL, Vox Clara, et al.), what are the liturgical differences that have come into force with the Third Typical Edition (the work of CDW, et al.)?
