I don’t “feel” that this is the Holy Spirit. Has there been other phenomena? As soon as I said it a few mornings ago a little flashlight sitting on the table beside me shook and I heard the words, “I am the light that shines bright for others to see.”
Someone asked me to post here, so here goes:Hello everyone! I hope there is someone out there who might have an answer to this important question for me? I’ve received a lot of gifts but this one has me baffled. First thing every morning I read the daily scriptures for One Bread One Body then do my other bible readings and prayers. The last prayer I pray is By Cardinal Mercer: O, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul,…I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do…give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your will.

I really need to know if anyone knows for sure if the Holy Spirit actually moves objects??? Thank you…
I will disagree with this statement from FrDavid96. Miracles and signs occur daily. Of course, we don’t look for them. The Holy Spirit certainly can move objects, but probably doesn’t make a habit of it.Miracles and signs are very rare, extremely so. God does not want us to go looking-for or expecting physical signs (that’s not to meant that we cannot pray for miracles).
U1 given your issues I suggest you need to be under the direction of a Priest or a recommended Spiritual Director. Your issues cannot be helped at all by asking theological advice of anonymous amateurs who do not even know you. Personal spiritual gifts are not matters for airing in public like this as it tempts one to spiritual pride and feeling special. We are all special to God regardless of gifts or consolations. You also need solid theological guidance as you are going off the rails a bit re your views on these matters. All this started after I handed my life over to God’s complete will and trust. After he took my son back home because of my prayers and faith. I’ve received many gifts of flowers, etc. and an anointing by Jesus during the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Various priests are aware but I’ve never had an experience (as far as I know) through the Holy Spirit so I was just wondering if anyone on here did actually know of an instance or instances where the Holy Spirit would move an object as in my case when I said the prayer.
There are some very good responses in this thread. Do discuss with your parish priest around scriptural guidance with Discernment of Spirit.Hello everyone! If confusion is present during times of discernment, it is from the enemy. (1 Corinthians 14:33).Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace"
Miracles don’t just come from ancient stories and myths–everyday miracles are all around us, if we only have our eyes open to see them.
