But this is a Scripture forum! I’d say we have wandered far from the topic of Scripture. The only point being made with respect to scripture is that scripture did not intend to teach anything about the age of the universe.
You said it brother! What matters is that God created the heavens and earth. How long exactly it took, or how long ago really is not relevant to salvation. Anyone disagree??

Not according to Gods Word. The earth is less than 6500 years. God Bless
How is this true? Therre is evidence of human life from the paleolithic period almost 1000000 years ago, and fossils have been found of organisms that existed 3.7 billion years ago…

Remember, we’re talking about God saying it, not some Protestant clergyman “calculating” it.
I thought it was a Catholic priest?

It’s true it was a Catholic Priest that formulated the Big Bang theory. However Physicist’s around the world have adapted and changed this theory to prove that it was an event of random attraction.

“Before time” is one of the most fragile ground when it comes to the creation debate, however it has been proved there were only a few basic elements… Helium Hydrogen being the two mains making a catastrophic explosion resulting in the big bang.
