Can someone please explain to me how come homosexuality in the animal kingdom has only been observed in the last 30 years. Prior to that nothing.
I had two female rabbits and one day I thought something was up, I thought maybe one was a male, maybe one was confused and said to itself, well there’s two of us so maybe Im the male.
I was viewing the situation from the completely wrong angle. What was happening is that one rabbit was on heat, the other rabbit knew that because they work off smell and it jumped on the back of the first female so that no male rabbit could take advantage of the situation, because she was going to be the alpha breeder, not her friend.
So what looked like homosexuality was the complete opposite. It was heterosexual prevention of sex. Jumping on the back of another animal of even another species is an act of submission by alphas. For starters the front legs are usually in the wrong place for sex, the tail is in the wrong place, the anatomy is entirely in the wrong place, and the front paws are being used as grab hold and don’t let them move devices.
I have collected a reasonable number of such pictures that are published on the internet claiming homosexuality in the animal kingdom. The interpretation is way wrong because we have totally lost understanding of the animal kingdom because of our blatant disassociation of it thanks to urbanisation and now everything since the sex revolution is usually about sex.
Hence we have only seen it in the last 30 years.
