Honestly I’ve decided to quit dating in general for a while. I’m single anyways so its not a big deal, I’ll just stop looking for a potential girl I guess is what I’m trying to say. I think it will better help me discern the priesthood. If on the off chance I do meet someone even if I don’t plan on going anywhere with the relationship I would most definitely tell them just as a heads up/courtesy type thing haha.…mostly, people dating at our age aren’t looking into long term relationships. So if you do meet someone who is (and it’s kind of hard to know for sure) then, yea, you should tell her… My mother has a friend who was engaged to a guy. But he decided against it (without notifying her) and became a priest. He now works at the Vatican. It’s all about being conscious of what’s happening around you, for both individuals. Yes, people do look tend to at you oddly if you tell them that you’ve been called to the priesthood.
