Thank you IgnatianPhilo and Reuben J, I thought I was the only one who noticed the trend of what they doThey do tend to redirect every topic they comment on, to their own faith.

Is it necessary? You can just look it up.I didn’t view that statement as rude. Posting history exists.
It’s helpful because it brings context.
There’s a reason why people should be careful what they say. None of it ever gets deleted.![]()
It’s not a discussion but an indictment, an accusation. And the reference shows she does the same thing. Is it necessary? You can just look it up.
Why is the OP become the contention? She started a thread for discussion, not herself.
I think it is about objectivity . A thread was started. It is not for us to question the intention of the OP. I think that’s is the Forum rule. As for the thread/Forum member , it’s really up to the moderators to decide. It’s not a discussion but an indictment, an accusation. And the reference shows she does the same thing.
If you cannot see the irony, well.
I’m out. This is a waste of thought.
I think that is not what the OP meant.Exactly.
Lou
- and if you really don’t like seeing post about other threads, don’t read them.
I think hijacked is a strong wordI think it is about objectivity . A thread was started. It is not for us to question the intention of the OP. I think that’s is the Forum rule. As for the thread/Forum member , it’s really up to the moderators to decide.
Basically the OP is trying to point out how threads have been hijacked. In other word, being commandeered into another discussion topic.
It is for us to discuss whether we agree with that or not. Bringing her personally into the equation, no matter how much we disagree with her, is to veer away from the OP itself.
Sure, we have the sense to be fair and that should be extended to the OP also.
‘Hijacked’ is used colloquially in an internet Forum but you already known that.I think hijacked is a strong word
If some are losing patience with a Baha’i perspective being offered, should we be losing patience with Catholic perspectives in the non-Catholic forum?
Of course not!
All perspectives are critical to foster fellowship…
.
a Bahai poster:And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.
That’s… all we are saying… nothing more, nothing less.
another Bahai poster:And Baha’u’llah is not one of them.
That’s… all we are saying… nothing more, nothing less.
While it is nothing wrong to talk about Bahaism in an appropriate thread, it looks like this thread on Islam has been taken into another direction.The Koran as stated above does Testify of Christ as does the Baha’i writings as follows;
Baha’u’llah, Abdul’Baha and Shoghi Effendi have all written about Jesus the Christ. All confess to Jesus and His revelation - From Baha’u’llah “Know thou that when the Son of Man yielded up His breath to God, the whole of Creation wept with a great weeping. By sacrificing Himself, however, a fresh capacity was infused into all created things. Its evidences, as witnessed in all the peoples of the earth, are now manifest before thee. The deepest wisdom which the sages have uttered, the profoundest learning which any mind hath unfolded, the arts which the ablest hands have produced, the influence exerted by the most potent of rulers, are but manifestations of the quickening power released by His transcendent, His all-pervasive, and resplendent spirit . . . He it is who purified the world. Blessed the man who, with a face beaming with light, hath turned towards Him”. (Baha’u’llah Gleanings 86)
“It is also recorded in the Gospel according to St. Luke, that on a certain day Jesus passed by a Jew who was sick of the palsy, and lay upon a couch. When the Jew saw Him, he recognized Him, and cried out for His help. Jesus said unto him: “Arise from thy bed; thy sins are forgiven thee.” Certain of the Jews, standing by, protested saying: “Who can forgive sins, but God alone?” And immediately He perceived their thoughts, Jesus answering said unto them: “Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, arise, and take up thy bed, and walk; or to say, thy sins are forgiven thee? that ye may know that the Son of Man hath power on earth to forgive sins.” This is the real sovereignty, and such is the power of God’s chosen Ones! All these things which We have repeatedly mentioned, and the details which We have cited from divers sources, have no other purpose but to enable thee to grasp the meaning of the allusions in the utterances of the chosen Ones of God, lest certain of these utterances cause thy feet to falter and thy heart to be dismayed”. - Baha’u’llah (‘The Book of Certitude’)
The last passage also requires One to Overcome and see the Message within the Messenger as Jesus said "We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us:. That is one must Listen to Christ, One must Listen to Muhammad, One must listen to the Bab and Baha’u’llah, Otherwise we listen from what is of this world and until we listen to them we will not see the “Spirit of Truth”.
The connection from the Bible to the Koran and then Baha’i Writings do need to be studied. May we all Love Jesus the Christ with all our heart and all Soul
I would humbly say that if the Baha’i perspective is not needed and is not appreciated, then it will gradually wither away and die, for no further comment or questions will be asked by others. Now don’t get me wrong. I am all for sharing perspectives, otherwise what is discussion for?
But sometimes too much of that especially in the threads that I mentioned, can defeat the purpose of an objective discussion. So there have to be a balance somewhere.
One can only hope.I would humbly say that if the Baha’i perspective is not needed and is not appreciated, then it will gradually wither away and die, for no further comment or questions will be asked by others.
.
My bro Servant, apparently you do not get my drift.I would humbly say that if the Baha’i perspective is not needed and is not appreciated, then it will gradually wither away and die, for no further comment or questions will be asked by others.

The point was he/she has created threads, of which this one is included, that attracts that which he/she is complaining about. Is that necessary (to shoot the messenger)?![]()
On the right corner of a post is a triangle with an exclamation point. Click on it and report the post. Let the mods deal with it.Thank you IgnatianPhilo and Reuben J, I thought I was the only one who noticed the trend of what they do
I agree. That’s why we have a report system. My bro Servant, apparently you do not get my drift.
It is not about delineating Bahaism or you Bahai’s. I am sure all members are appreciated together with their viewpoints here, there is no doubt about that. That is the reason why this section is available, exactly for those who are interested to participate and share such views.
But there is a place for everything and doing it rightly.
I am sure you are aware there are hundreds of threads generated everyday and we have thousands of different threads here in CAF. If you want to discus about Bahai’s perspective, you can always generate such like threads.
Threads entitled “BAHAI AND CHRISTIANITY”, “JESUS CHRIST IN BAHAISM”, “BAHAISM A PROGRESSION OF ISLAM”, BAHAISM IS THE ORIGINAL ISLAM", “BAHAI AND THE QURAN”, “BAHAI THE RELIGION OF THE WORLD”, etc., etc. can be generated, and nobody would scold you from doing so.
But there are specific threads, for example, “ISLAM” or “QURAN”. You must remember, there are many Forum members who are interested in such threads and there are readers too who want to follow and read the discussion. What do you think if they want to look into an Islam thread only to find it is fulled of discussion on Bahaism?
I used to post in an Islam threads before but not interested now because it will be sure digressed and distracted so much that there is no point in joining in or even worth reading.![]()

I am sorry to say but putting the OP on the dock would not make it right. I believe that we should be objective and discus what is being laid on the table rather than scrutinizing the generator of the thread no matter how much we may disagree with the OP. Because I think that is not the principle of how to discus. If you start doing that, do you know where will it end? Everyone of us are liable to be scrutinized, grilled and examined of our past. Even though you may have a point in wanting to do it, it is still called slaying the messenger, ad hominem. The point was he/she has created threads, of which this one is included, that attracts that which he/she is complaining about.
I agree. That’s why we have a report system.
You know what I meant and I would leave it at that. Taking it to the extreme, even both ends, would require a repetition of all the earlier posts however unpleasant they are. But in any case, have a blessed day.Of course dear brother
Should I expect only Muslims therefore to contribute to the Quran and Allah threads therefore?
.
I hear you and respect what you post here Reuben, thank youYou know what I meant and I would leave it at that. Taking it to the extreme, even both ends, would require a repetition of all the earlier posts however unpleasant they are. But in any case, have a blessed day.
Just in case, if I was not plainly understood, I was only saying - do respect the topic of a thread by trying to confine our posts to the subject matter. Sure there would be always the differences in perspective, but a simple test would be, if an onlooker looks at the thread and finds the content more about other thing rather than the subject matter, then something is not right. Maybe most of the members here do not mind about it but as can be seen there are others who do. And only the posters concerned are responsible to make it appears as it appears.![]()
