so, the SSPX (acording to TIA) are making concesions to Buddhism.

Is that like the Rutabaga of Rastafarianism?TIA is The Onion of Catholicism.

I take it then, the object is to have a good laugh at these stories?TIA is The Onion of Catholicism.
And may I add–doubtless cultural as well? It’s simply the Japanese thing to do.As far as I know there is no such thing as “a Buddhist way of sitting.” There is a way to sit on tatami mats, which is obviously what is used in this particular chapel as flooring. It has nothing to do with Buddhism and everything to do with practicality.
I had a feeling it was something like this.…
The SSPX rents halls in SE Asia. This was just in a meeting room where there are no other pews.

Yes, these are real pictures, and yes, they are a very serious organization. They love to answer correspondence if you write them with any questions. These other TIA articles (like one about a buddhist statue resting atop a tabernacle with pagan scripture resting alonside the bible in St. Peter’s church in Assisi) are quite alarming. Please clarify: is this a serious organization, and are these real pictures?
Would they answer the following questions?Yes, these are real pictures, and yes, they are a very serious organization. They love to answer correspondence if you write them with any questions.
Oh, I agree with you. They do often go over the top in some of their photo analysis. I already said this. They does not make some of their other analysis less compelling.Would they answer the following questions?
I’ve asked them several questions of this nature before, and they have NEVER replied.
- Why did they say that a tabernacle was shaped like a phallus, when it was clearly the traditional beehive shape?
- Why did they say that Pope John Paul II was kneeling and venerating the tomb of Mahatma Ghandi, when it’s obvious that he was NOT kneeling?
- Why did they say that a photo showing Blessed Mother Theresa clearly rapt in prayer was showing her worshipping a statue of Buddha?
- Why does a photo showing Pope Benedict XVI holding his hands joined (a posture not uncommon in even the Latin liturgy) mean that he was secretly advancing the Buddhist agenda (whatever that is)?
There’s a saying: Photos don’t lie, but captions can sure mislead.
I am afraid I do not follow you. Can you share with us why? These people are nothing but a HATE SITE of the current Catholic Church! Especially Dr. Horvat!
NO THANKS! I’ll stand with Catholic Culture, the Popes and the REAL Latin Rite Catholic Church!!!![]()
