It would be best to start a new topic (hop up to the next level up from here, and then click on “new topic”), rather than sidetracking this one, since the people who can answer your question will most likely not notice it, here.
 
Just to muddy the Tiber waters a bit, you CAN be received into the Church without Confirmation being conferred at the same time. It’s not normally done that way, but it can if the Bishop hasn’t given the Priest who receives you faculties to Confirm in his stead.

That happened with me, so I don’t count my Confirmation date, just the date I was received into the Church.

I was a cradle Catholic, became edumacated in my early 20’s as to my “not” needing a church or a religion to love God, that I didn’t need a man to come in between me and God and the whole schmeel, but then, I got a spiritual beatdown and God did a Saul/Paul on me.

What I used to talk against, I now defend.

In your case, you truly did get beamed up!

I too count my confirmation at 30 as my speedboating across the Tiber.

The wife of a couple I know wants to leave the (Charismatic Episcopal Church) CEC and join the RCC. The husband does not want to leave the CEC. He grew up in the RCC and has no intention of going back.

The speedboat and transporter metaphors are priceless! 😃 Thanks for a hearty laugh. I’m finding that so many of us have been blessed with a rapid conversion. After dangling my feet in the water for several months, “someone” suddenly grabbed me from behind and threw me like a skipping stone towards the other side. My journey thus far has been so fast I’ve hardly had a chance to get wet! 😛 Even though it’s mostly momentum that has carried me thus far, I would still love a t-shirt.

Ditto. Confirmation. I was “Catholic” in my heart for 25 years but didn’t put it together. Finally, in 2000, reality hit, and I was confirmed in 2001.
