Yes indeed. Though I’ve never been entirely sure how literally our Lord meant it at the time. He said it rather directly and plainly, didn’t He? Not as a parable. And those who would scandalize / exploit / abuse children were certainly one of His “pet peeves,” to put it mildly.
These latter-day sexualizers of children had better repent and beg God’s forgiveness, or expect wailing and gnashing of teeth (another Scripture reference for our friends who come ill-prepared into a Catholic forum).

I can’t accept that whoever “we” is doesn’t have bigger fish to fry than worrying about other people’s sexuality. So we all have our problems with acceptance.

However, I sincerely do have some sympathy for the poster’s situation, given that centuries of Catholic DNA racing around my body seems to compel me to share that situation. Just as the poster and a good number of other Catholics feel the incurable need to point the finger and judge, I have that need too, and am doing it now.

So how does it feel having me sticking my big judgmental nose in to your business? Does it feel like Christianity to you?

It does because it’s Truth and not judgement.

Besides, judgement is the first go-to for any one arguing in favour of a sexual sin.

Adults can do all the conversion therapy they want. The government has only prohibited conversion therapy being used on minors. Once they become adults, they are free to do conversion therapy.

We did have bigger fish. We wanted to mind our own business, like any normal people would, but then they got noisy because they decided that being ignored was tantamount to being persecuted. It’s not like we’re knocking down doors to figure out who’s trans and who’s not. So then we fired back with some truth they didn’t like, and because they didn’t like the truth, they twisted that also to fit under the umbrella of persecution. How are we persecuting you for telling you that you’re perfectly normal having the body you were born with? That’s inclusion, not exclusion. They want us to create a whole new class of people because .001% of them are suffering from dysphoria.
