Time to give the women a pay raise

After following play in the FIFA Women’s World Cup football tournament, I believe it is time for the Americans to get a pay raise.
Last Sunday, the Americans won the tourney with a 2-0 win over the Netherlands. U-S-A, U-S-A, U-S-A! 👏⚽⚽⚽
 
They’re already getting 13% of the total revenues, vs 9% for the men.
 
While I’m all for women being paid equally (I have a daughter and hope she won’t be treated unfairly, the argument that the women players make less is not true from an economic standpoint.

From The Federalist: “Last year, the men’s World Cup generated $6 billion, and gave about 7 percent to the teams. The 2019 Women’s World Cup made $131 million, and gave out more than 20 percent to the teams.”

They get more of the pie than the men do.

Nah, the men need to make less, that’s all.
Lower them to what the women are making.
 
It’s about the percentages. It’s about the money!
The women have outperformed the men time and again, yet they get paid way less than the men.
Those who perform, should get paid.
Those who do not, should not.
Very simple principle.

NFL football players, NBA basketball players, and MLB baseball players get paid a heckuva lot more.
Who should not the women not get a pay raise?
When you win, you should reap the reward for winning, right?
 
Yes, it’s about the money. Appears the mens’ teams generate about 45 times as much revenue.
 
Since the men rarely qualify for the World Cup, they actually should make less than the women, who have won two World Cup titles in a row.
 
Guys, you are either engaging a troll or someone who does not know how to use a calculator. Move on.
 
The majority of teams in the NFL, NBA, an MLB lose, yet they share in the revenues made by their league. Of course, they all are men.
 
So, because the men generate more revenue, the women are being mistreated, even though they earn a greater percentage of their revenue?

You do realize how stupid that is, right? The women get paid more on the dollar than the men, their sport just generates less interest. It’s no one’s fault, but it could hardly be called mistreatment or unfair.
 
Jesus told a story about a man who hired laborers throughout the day, and at the end of the day paid them the same wages reagardless of how long they had worked. When those who worked the longest complained, he asked them if he didn’t pay them what they had agreed to? The same applies here, none of these athletes were forced to play. They accepted a contract.

I think that all entertainers are overpaid, but that is a different topic.
 
Too bad the men can’t win matches. Maybe if they get paid more they can lose a little more.

Are you often 100% wrong or is this an exception? I love women athletes, and I don’t approve of men destroying women’s athletics. Work on your mind-reading skills.

The women should be paid more. Those who perform should get more. Not get a higher percentage.
 
I would think at least a portion of the matches would have a winner.
