Time to give the women a pay raise

I have asked this before on other social media…

Does anyone know the revenue breakdown by nation for both men and women? I’m curious where the money is coming from.

So the Men’s Final (once every 4 years) was viewed on FOX a total of 22% less in spite of the fact that the US team wasn’t even in the final. Correction: they weren’t even in the World Cup.

Great video!

It’s crazy that the Women’s Team (same team that won the 2015 World Cup) lost in 2017 a scrimmage to a 15 and under boys team from Dallas - with a score of 5-2.

Not even the US National 15 and under boys team, a team from just Dallas!

And it’s interesting than in Australia, their women’s national team lost 7-0 to a boys 15 and under team.

So essentially, the US Women’s World Cup Team not only isn’t good enough to play the US Men’s team, they wouldn’t be good enough to play the best 15 and under boys teams…
Its because, as much as modernists try to deny it, the truth is that men are naturally more athletic than women.

My wife is a high school basketball coach, she coaches the girl’s team. I’ve gone to a bunch of their games, and have also been present for a bunch of the boy’s games. There is a huge difference in the speed and … I don’t want to say skill, because both teams are very skilled, but I can’t think of a more appropriate word. The halftime scores for the boy’s team is usually right around or slightly higher than the final score for the girl’s team.

Both teams are very skilled, there’s just a natural difference in ability level. This remains true through all levels. I recall reading a story recently where a high school boy on testosterone suppressants beat the women’s world record for… I think it was the 4k, can’t remember. (This is all part of the new issues arising with the advent of so called trans athletes.)

This discrepancy is one of the big reasons that men’s sports are just more popular. It’s nobody’s fault, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just the natural tendency of people to focus on what they find more exciting.

Just like in any playoff game, the winners’ share should be greater but I’m sure that would be stipulated in the contract.

People focus on whatever makes them feel good, which is seeing their team win a lot. You dont necessarily need physicality to make a sport enjoyable to watch, or at least the trend is changing.

But it doesn’t change the fact that on a global scale, the USWNT would spend 90% of their time bulldozing over women’s teams in countries where women’s programs are derelict and the remaining 10% of the time playing teams that are decent, and then at the end of the day call themselves more successful than the men because of all the women of color in poor countries they obliterate on the field in grossly lopsided games to give them a super high win ratio.

There are more useful ways to address discrimination, such as making FIFA invest more in the development of women’s programs to create a more competitive sport, and then the revenue streams I imagine will start to catch up.

And a couple of them take that money to represent their country, then proceed to blatantly disrespect their country’s flag and national anthem.

Actually, as a small business owner, it is almost always about revenue generated. Who is more dominant is related to the level of competition, and largely irrelevant. No business model is sustainable if you generally don’t tie compensation to revenue, the men’s teams simply bring in much more. Want to change that?

From a pure ability standpoint, that is a losing argument too. have the men play the women and see what the outcome is. The fact is the women are far more dominant, but that matters little in these discussions.
