Times in films where you want to yell at the characters

I don’t think I ever wanted to Yell at a movie scene, but there had been times I wanted to walk out because the storyline was just so STUPID !
,
I used to work in a movie theater that had a policy that the patron could get a refund if he had seen less than 20 minutes of the movie. It wasn’t something we advertised; he had to ask. Some might not offer anything. Policies vary, but it’s something to keep in mind because there are a lot of turkey movies out there that weren’t released; they escaped.

I wanted to walk out of the last Mad Max Movie within ten minutes ,
It was just the dumbest stupidest storyline,

Any horror movie I have ever seen.

Seriously, how many bad decisions can that many people make that many times in a row. “Yes go down into the dark basement” or “of course you should pick up the hitchhiker carrying the axe in the middle of the night on a country road” and the list goes on.

Lately, when viewing super hero movies (which I greatly enjoy) I like to yell “NO CAPES!” 😃

Can’t wait for Incredibles 2 to come out, hopefully the Edna Mode character will be in it …

Oh this will be fun. I will probably have several posts.

Any movie with some emasculated whiny guy in it (so pretty much all rom coms
Horror movies where people claim they are not worried or don’t believe.
Characters that take cheating boyfriends/girlfriends back.

That’s a good policy. I once saw A Hard Day’s Night in which the second reel was shown upside-down and backwards. We asked for our money back but were told we could only get tickets to another showing. Since we didn’t live in the area, that was a lousy deal.

I admit to screaming at the television a few times. Once I saw a Protestant preacher on some show say that at the Last Supper Jesus said the bread represents his body. I leapt to my feet and started hollering at the guy–as if he could hear me.

… the second reel was shown upside-down and backwards. …
This is an indication that the previous projectionist forgot to re-wind the film. That the current projectionist didn’t correct it indicates he was asleep. It wouldn’t have taken him more than a few minutes to make it right. Was the theater in a one-horse town?

No, it was in a major city, and the entire reel was shown that way. 🤷

The average movie takes up 5 or 6 twenty-minute reels. While a reel is being shown on one projector, the projectionists sets up the next reel for the switch-over to the second projector, which should be seamless. If the second reel has not been rewound, he should have caught the mistake immediately after the switch-over by merely checking the screen. He obviously didn’t check it; IOW, he was asleep.

As a patron, I would have demanded that they re-show the second reel before moving on to the third.

I wanted to, but my date was less enthusiastic. Anyway, it was decades ago.

I can’t imagine sitting through something like that. The whole audience should have been out in the lobby, banging on the manager’s door.
