I’ll tell you something. I would trust a news source 100 percent more if they would just admit the way they lean. …
Ain’t gonna happen because it is relative to the viewer. I’m sure the folks over at NPR think no one could be more reasonable or “middle-of-the-road” than they are, and so do their regular audience, but to me they are flaming Leftists.

That’s funny, because I have had far left friends swear up and down that NPR is “middle-of-the-road.” 😃

Oh I agree. I used to listen to some NPR shows, Science Friday for example. But if you just turned it on at random there would be some of the most outrageous statements (IMO obviously) that were clearly partisan and always very Left. I got a call requesting a donation and I told the young man that I couldn’t support something that was a) getting tax dollars and b) invariably far Left.

His response: Well the REST of the media is so far right we need to balance it out! Obviously an interesting perspective!

So far I’ve seen/heard Cardinal Dolan on a variety of media. I applaud him for having the courage to go anywhere he can get the word out. Too often if the issue is contentioius, the spokesmen will only go on friendly networks.

Denver archbishop: HHS mandate an attempt to remove religion from society
Denver’s newly-appointed archbishop says the federal contraception mandate is the result of a larger push to remove religion from the public sphere.
“Essentially what people are saying to us is, ‘We want you to pretend you’re agnostic or atheist like us, and that is the way society should be,’”Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila explained to EWTN News on May 28, as he assessed the thinking that made the mandate possible.
“Today what is happening is that those who do not want faith in the public square are really saying, ‘It’s our lack of faith, our unbelief that we want you to follow,’” he said.
Archbishop Aquila, who was announced as the new Archbishop of Denver on May 29, called the federal mandate a direct infringement on the First Amendment that is simply another example of “the erosion of religious liberties” which has been occurring for some time.

A friend told me that when he gets one of their calls for support, he tells them he already supports them … through his tax dollars.

Just more of the same “I’m-middle-of-the-road” attitude.
