The hosts from Energ Foods are gluten free. These are not valid for Catholic Communion. Your Priest should not allow this.I spoke with my priest and he has agreed that if I by the GF hosts it would be acceptable. I bring a GF communion wafer with me each Sunday and drop it in the bowl. It is then brought up during the offeratory and consecrated. It physically looks different so my priest is able to keep track of it. I then have to receive from him. There are three parishoners that now partake in this manner. You can by from Energ Foods @www.ener-g.com Speak to your priest first as not all parishes are able to accommodate. When my Priest is on vacation I do not receive since it’s too difficult to coordinate.
The only hosts allowed are low gluten. They are made by the Benedictine Sisters.
