Since I’m not a Latin Guy, could someone please tell me if this is exactly the same as the 1962 Missal or is it different?
As SemperFidelis already said it IS the 1962 Missal (the “Traditional Latin Mass” you keep hearing about).

**DONT worry if you dont know Latin, EWTN.com will almost surely have a free booklet to download/print of all the prayers and readings for this upcoming mass.

**Spread the word! Its this week!

I’ll be there, so look for me on TV!
I’m going to try to be there as well…how early are you going to get there? Maybe 45 minutes early?

Anyway…look for me too on TV 😃 I won’t be receiving communion 😦 … I don’t know what I am going to wear yet!!! oh no…another decision to make this week!

I was going to try and get there about an hour early. I’ve heard it gets pretty packed and was told by someone who works at EWTN “to get there early, about an hour early.” This means that I’ll have to wake up about 4:00  I haven’t been up that early since my OCS days. Oh well, it’ll be worth it! 👍

 You’ll have to be hitting the road by 4:30 won’t ya?

Okay, so, that means, I’ll have to leave my house at 6:30 am…hahaha, I think I can handle it. Bless your heart for driving that far, but yeah, I think it will be worth it.

Have you been to the Shrine before? You do realize that you will have about 30 or more minutes of country roads?

I’ve been to Cullman before but I’ve never been to Hanceville or the Shrine. Mapquest said about two hours, so I aimed at leaving about 4:45. Do you go to the Shrine every Sunday?

No, I’ve only been to Mass in the Lower Church at 10am.

I go out there about every other week for adoration…

But…allow yourself about 30 or 45 minutes once you get off any main road…really…it’s winding country roads, the signs to the Shrine, you won’t miss, but allow yourself plenty of time…

Okay, so how is Mapquest sending you?

They’ve got me doing this:

4: Merge onto I-20 E / I-59 N toward BIRMINGHAM. 53.8 miles

5: Merge onto I-65 N via EXIT 124B on the LEFT toward HUNTSVILLE. 38.7 miles

6: Take the AL-69 S exit- EXIT 299- toward JASPER. 0.5 miles

7: Turn RIGHT onto CR-565. 6.1 miles

8: CR-565 becomes NW COMMERCIAL ST. 0.5 miles

9: Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto NW ARKADELPHIA RD / AL-91. Continue to follow AL-91. 3.6 miles

10: Turn RIGHT onto CR-747. 0.9 miles

11: Turn RIGHT onto CR-548. 2.2 miles

12: End at Shrine of the Most Blessed:
3220 County Road 548, Hanceville, AL 35077, US

That is taking you way the heck the long way around; I live in the area, and I can’t follow it.

Try this instead: Get off of I-65 right on AL-91, I believe it’s exit 291, way before exit 299. Take AL-91 straight through Hanceville and out the other side; there’ll be a traffic light in the center of Hanceville. Once you come out the other side of Hanceville, the first (and only) 4-way stop will be CR-747; pick up with #10 above.

And the country roads aren’t that bad; straight 55-mph speed limit, except for in H’ville. And at that time of the morning, the traffic should be all one way to the Shrine.

Thanks for the tips Dave. God Bless!

Does anyone know if this Mass will be rebroadcast–an 8:00 am Mass in Alabama comes very early in New Mexico…

Also the first TLM EWTN had on a few months ago they archived on EWTN.com for free so I wouldnt be surprised if they archive this one as well.

Say a prayer for me before the Most Blessed Sacrament, please! :crossrc: I’m also a fellow RCIA-goer.

Hi! I’m planning on going…if I don’t get lost. I was wondering if the other ladies are planning on wearing head coverings? Thanks!

We plan on watching up, have the whole morning planned around it…:yup: Get up early, 7a in my time zone, watch Mass…then afterwards, fix a big ole fashion breakfast…bacon, eggs and the works. :bounce: Not going to worry about calories, fat grams, or cholesterol…:blushing:

The Mass will be rebroadcast 1 hour from now - at 6:00PM EST.
