For my brothers and sisters who were former atheists… how did you find/receive the gift of faith? How did you find God? I’m really interested to know your journey.
Hmmmm… I was not an atheist, I was an agnostic. For my brothers and sisters who were former atheists… how did you find/receive the gift of faith? How did you find God? I’m really interested to know your journey.
Funny thing. A Catholic priest is the person who formulated the big bang theory (see below!).…here I am, a leftist, evolutionist, “big bang” student on the road to baptism and confirmation…
An answered prayer (the act of the prayer was the idea of my Catholic wife, not my own). For my brothers and sisters who were former atheists… how did you find/receive the gift of faith? How did you find God? I’m really interested to know your journey.
Well, I’m technically an ex-atheist, but only when I was at my most utterly ignorant and unthinking. I was maybe 14-16 at the time, and flirted with atheism periodically through that time. For most of my early life I was agnostic, again, because I was basically ignorant and didn’t care to think about it.For my brothers and sisters who were former atheists… how did you find/receive the gift of faith? Done, but in my opinion they may just need some time and space to find their way back (I am assuming you raised them Catholic) from enjoying the independence of adulthood. When they have kids of their own I’ll bet they have them baptised.:
Please pray for 2 of my sons, one of whom has declared publicly (on Facebook) that he is an atheist and one who I think is just wandering; not church-going and doesn’t seem to care one way or the other. They are both grown adults. I cannot talk with them about this and can only pray God will find a way to reach them, and that I will be able to witness their conversion before He calls me to my Heavenly Home.
