Thats a very interesting concept what do you think? There are those who insist that Jesus will not let you into heaven if you ‘don’t like his mother’.

And…we could follow the simple premise that Jesus follows the fourth commandment perfectly and we are called to imitate him.Well, if you “don’t like His mother”, it does suggest that a person doesn’t have much understanding of God’s Covenant and long plan of salvation through the ages. It suggests distaste for the Incarnation, for Israel, for the House of David, for women in roles of holiness, and some serious psychological issues about mommies. It also suggests discomfort with Jesus’ future plans for the glory of the members of His Body. Distaste for Mary also creates a tendency to fall into some very bizarre, heretical ideas.
So yeah, if somebody had all those problems, it might be more difficult for him to accept salvation and follow Jesus’ commands. All things are possible with God, of course, but it’s a lot easier when people aren’t fighting God’s plan half the time because they’re a bit disapproving of its implementation.
Hope this helped!
I think it is a heap.Thats a very interesting concept what do you think?
I think it is a heap.

Hmmm. I’ve never heard a Catholic say that, BUT, I don’t think that someone who disliked my Mother would be welcome in my home. There are those who insist that Jesus will not let you into heaven if you ‘don’t like his mother’.
Well humans can be like that - BUT God isn’t that way.Hmmm. I’ve never heard a Catholic say that, BUT, I don’t think that someone who disliked my Mother would be welcome in my home.
Are you saying that you dislike Mary?Well humans can be like that - BUT God isn’t that way.
I am saying that those who make that statement (that Jesus won’t like you if you don’t like his mother) are very wrong. Are you saying that you dislike Mary?
In the Ave Maris Stella she is considered a gate.I think a better way to understand it is - Heaven came to Earth through Mary.![]()
Some take this a step further that Jesus would refuse someone ‘not recommended’ to him by Mary - which of course is NOT true.To heaven through Mary? In a sense yes! But accurately, it is: TO JESUS THROUGH MARY.
The Way to heaven is Jesus. Mary is a sure path to Jesus, because Jesus cannot refuse what or who His Mother recommends to him. This fact is confirmed during the marriage in Cana where Jesus, though his time has not yet come, but granted what His Mother desired and turned the jars of water into jars of wine. How great is Jesus’ love for Mary! The proud would attempt to go directly to Jesus in his own way, ignoring those who have gone ahead of him and are already with Jesus, and at times even dishonoring them. Is such act honorable? If you were Jesus, would you welcome such kind of persons?
You just don’t get it, do you?? Mary would not “recommend” someone that Jesus would refuse. They are one in their beliefs, intentions & love of mankind. Some take this a step further that Jesus would refuse someone ‘not recommended’ to him by Mary - which of course is NOT true.
Actually MY understanding of Marian Theology is fine - the messed up ones are those who make that comment I mentioned. You just don’t get it, do you?? Mary would not “recommend” someone that Jesus would refuse. They are one in their beliefs, intentions & love of mankind.
Your understanding of Marian Theology is very poor.
The first and only time I have ever heard that was from you on this thread. Who are “some” and “those”?Actually MY understanding of Marian Theology is fine - the messed up ones are those who make that comment I mentioned.
