I remembered my previous experiences with the people at the Catholic church and after meeting and hearing countless people describe the molestation and corruption they witnessed in the RC church, so I knew that It had long ago lost the blessing of God. “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them” Matt 7:20.
Renton has found a church without sinners. I suppose that would be much more appealing to be around non-sinners. So, I can’t blame you on that choice. Consider yourself lucky that your church is not significant enough for the devil to mess with. But are you sure Jesus is there? Remember, He came for the sinners not the righteous.

Plus didn’t He say that there would be weeds? The fact that there are weeds actually shows that the CC is the True Church!

renton has logged off… darn it, and I was looking forward to some more stimulating conversation.

I am a Correctional Officer at a prison. I am surrounded by “sinners” every day. I’m definitely not an “inmate lover”. I set high standards for the inmates under my watch. However, I think I am in an excellent position to make a difference in many lives. I don’t think I would be worthy of surrounding myself with saints.

The evangelical church of today is far from perfect, humans are fallen creatures and our bound to sin. But a person in a pastoral position has a higher set of morals he has to follow or he will be judged accordingly. That being said, if a baptist minister was caught doing a grevious sin he would be, a) turned over to the law or b)rebuked by the church and removed from his position. I think the fact that the RC vatican is not doing this points to a lack of disernment and ethics on there part. I agree schism is not what God intended for his church but at a certain point you have to ask yourselfe if it’s the biblical thing to remain in a corrupt church. Churches throughout history have had corruption and have needed to be cleaned just like how Jesus cleansed the Temple. Sadly this is overdue in the RC church so that the schisms of the past can be healed. Although after the original protestant reformation there was allot of reform done by removing the idea of indulgences and buying a position in the church. I’ve listened to some conservative priests speak on the issue and they agree that much evil has crept into the vatican but they also say that if a Pope is put into power who is willing to change things, there can be allot done.

Naw, you weren’t wrong… I was just late to the game… 😉
