I don’t usually wear skirts in the winter but the long boots that fall just under the knees with a pair of stocking usually keep me fairly warm if I do.
I find I always have to buy tights one size bigger than usual to avoid this very problem. Maybe my legs from toe to hip are longer than average or something?Got a run in my pantyhose yesterday on my way to work so I popped in to the store to buy a pair of black tights but they had nothing plain. I picked up black/white/grey argyle and they looked great with my skirt. At first I hesitated because at 56, looking trendy sometimes just looks as though you’re refusing to grow up but in this case it looked fine. DH suggested I should get several more pairs but at $16 a pop I don’t think that’s going to happen. My only complaint is that they don’t fit as well as pantyhose. I almost feel I should wear panties over the tights so that I don’t always feel like they’re falling down.
I solved the problem: I cut the legs off the damaged pantyhose and pulled the panty over the tights – now I’m comfortable and no one’s the wiser. I don’t think buying larger would solve the problem, I think that would just make them saggy.I find I always have to buy tights one size bigger than usual to avoid this very problem. Have you tried garters? I don’t have this problem but maybe it will help.I solved the problem: I cut the legs off the damaged pantyhose and pulled the panty over the tights – now I’m comfortable and no one’s the wiser. I’m at that weird section where 1960 goes by Spring, Houston, and Humble, and have had the same issues with weather.Okay ladies i need some help. I am from houston and we don’t get cold weather that often but we have had some nasty cold weather lately. I like to wear dresses but my legs get cold.
What are the tips on wearing tights? Do they help?
