I could probably thing of someone else, but not right now:
Tom Cruise Voted Most Irritating Star Of All Time
British Magazine Surveyed 10,000 Movie Fans

**LONDON – **Maybe it was jumping on Oprah’s couch.

Or perhaps it was his testy interview with Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today” show, or his constant expressions of love for his fiancee, Katie Holmes.

He would get my vote for most irritating… no question. But what’s with those Brits? The article goes on to say that although he bugs them, they really like watching him in movies & voted him “the greatest movie star of all time.” THAT I beg to differ.

Someone should start a poll on this issue.

Jane Fonda.

Alex Baldwin.

Madonna.

David Letterman

Signory Weaver

Ed Asner

Sinead O’Connor

Mike Farrell

First off, Tom Cruise is not, in my opinion, a star of “worthwhile” caliber. Give me someone along the lines of Eastwood, Connery or Hackman

Yeah, BUT… the “second” criteria is that they have to be irritating. I happen to like Eastwood (except when he makes movies like “Bridges of Madison County”), Connery and Hackman. They’re not irritating.

Hey now…I LIKED “Bridges”! You want irritating, I’ll give you irritating…Brad Pitt ! Personally, there aren’t too many actors I like nowadays. Maybe that’s because they are all young enough to be my kids. Give me a golden oldie anyday

I was thinking of it, but there are too many irritating (i.e. most of Holywood) celebrities to put on the poll:whacky:

Martha Stewart. Not an actress, but still in the media.

Who’s Mike Farrell? Isn’t he the guy from MASH?

Tom Cruise? Yeccchh!
But let’s add Paris Hilton to the irritating celebrity list.
She’s only famous for being famous and very irritating!

The very same… campaigns as a pro-lifer for convicted multiple murderers. NOT, by the way, in favor of “life sentences” for unborn babies or for women in allegedly persistent vegetative states… only for convicted mass murderers who have ghost writers.

Dont forget Danny Glover, who repeatedly called Bush a Nazi!

How about Harry Bellafonte, calling Condaleeza Rice an Aunt Jemima in Bush’s Cabinet?

And no list would be complete without Al Franken!

Why do we go to Celebrities like this for Political Advice?

I never understood why Bridges of Madison country was supposed to be some real romantic classic. The woman cheats on her husband, and they her kids get to find out their mother was unfaithful to their father after her death. The movie romanticizes infidelity-oh yeah great movie:rolleyes: .

(Sorry -a little off topic-rant over.)

I am surprised that no one mentioned Russel Crowe or Hugh Grant.

Tom Cruise is irritating, but the media irritate me more than he does. THEY’RE the ones who make inconsequential stuff, like Cruise jumping on a couch, or buying a sonogram machine into a huge deal.

Uggg, I used to love Tom Cruise, I’d watch Top Gun or most any of his movies any chance I’d get, now I change the channel right a way! He is yucky!!! I’m sorry that Katie Holmes is messed up with him and is now pregnant, apparently by him. Very sad 😦

Scientology is what bugs me. Talk all day about caffeine, working out, and staying drug-free.

Concentrate on your sins, you dope.
