Thanks! Now I can’t get Will Farrel’s belly roll out of my mind. But you’re right. It does need more cowbell!!!

Notworthy

A local radio station gives out an honorary title each Friday for the person who has made the most idiotic statement in the news that week. The award’s name? The “Tom Cruise Bonehead of the Week” Award.

Yes, he is an annoying bonehead.

LOL, yes there are a lot of candidates for this position. You guys forgot Rosie O’Donald though. She really gets on my nerves. She acts like she is mother of the year. Also, she’s a silly Tom Cruise fan… 😉

Al Masetti:
Someone should start a poll on this issue.

Jane Fonda.

Alex Baldwin.

Madonna.

David Letterman

Signory Weaver

Ed Asner

Sinead O’Connor

Mike Farrell

Can I add George “I ruined Batman and now I’m gonna copy Michael Moore and make Bush-bashing movies” Clooney?

So who are some public figures that people do admire and/or like?

I place first vote for Craig Ferguson. Because not only is he FUNNY, he is honest and humble.

you might want to start a new thread on this 🙂 (just a suggestion)

Just in case you don’t…for tv…how bout Patricia Heaton

Mike Dye:
Yep he is irritating, I don’t know that I would consider him the very worst of all time… just because there are just so many worthy of consideration. Rest assured that he is right up there with a few of my personal favorites…Michael Jackson and Charley Sheen among them.
You think that I think he is irritating, don’t even get my wife started!

Hey now…I LIKED “Bridges”! You want irritating, I’ll give you irritating…Brad Pitt ! Personally, there aren’t too many actors I like nowadays. Maybe that’s because they are all young enough to be my kids. Give me a golden oldie anyday

I also think Brad Pitt is annoying in real life… but is a surprisingly good actor. He was amazing in “Snatch” My Irish friend says he has the gypsy accent down perfectly. Annoying? YES, but I have to admit he has proven his acting ability.

The last Tom Cruise movie I liked was Top Gun when I was in 6th grade! I realize now that the movie is cheesier than a Chuckie Cheese Pizza, but hey, I was in 6th grade, and he was cute in his leather jacket. Tom Cruise is not only annoying in real life, he is a mediocre actor. Typical Hollywood trumped up salary, relying on his looks that made him a household name in the 80s. He is full of himself

“Bridges of Madison County” was one of my biggest disappointments in a book. It was on an equal plane as a trashy housewife novel… and I’m a housewife, I should know. The female character was poorly developed, shallow and uncomplicated. The writer didnt’ have a very clear understanding of how women think or feel. There was nothing beneath the surface. The movie followed suit. I was crushing on Clint Eastwood until I saw his sagging chest in the movie, It wasn’t a sexy scene. It was like watching my grandpa haveing an affair with a married woman. :o

Here is my list:

Top Ten Most Annoying Actors

Tom Cruise
Jane Fonda
Geena Davis
Susan Sarandon
Meg Ryan
Gilbert Godfrey
Janine Garofolo
Julia Roberts (not in real life, but her famous laugh that appears in most of her movies annoys the heck outta me)
Woody Allen (he appears in several of his movies. I went through a “Woody Allen” phase in highschool. When he molested his adopted daughter I just coudln’t look at him the same way, and his moves lost the “magic” for me)
George Carlin (sometimes he acts)

Ohh… I have to add Ben Affleck as #11
And bear with me as I add John Travolta as #12
And for lucky #13, I must add Shawn Penn.

I could probably think of some more but I only *just *had my coffee.

OH YES I forgot George Clooney. He always has this air of thinking he knows more than the rest of the population. No matter what role he is playing, he has a smug smirk. All I can think of when I see him is “The Facts of Life” sitcom in the 80’s. I didn’t know he was using his “wisdom” to make political movies. He can take the place of 14 on my list.

Tori Spelling
actually, any of the 90210 actors.

Al Masetti:
The show was “Lou Grant”.
I was sitting here banging my head (not literally) trying to think of Hugh Grant’s name… I could see his cutsy pie annoying self in my mind but couldn’t think of his name. I thought he was really cute when I was in high school when he was in “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” but then I realized that he basically plays the same character in every movie, and after awhile that stumblig ,cutsy pie, in touch with his feminine side, bad teeth crooked smile just grates on my last nerve. then low and behold, the above comment jogged my memory!

Does anyone else think HUGH Grant is annoying?

Al Masetti:
Asner is a way far leftie, unreconstructed Socialist, who thinks Clinton is too conservative. Sean Hannity got Asner on his show one day just to deliberately bait him into making his extreme statements. Asner was amazingly obtuse (or else totally dedicated to the advancement of Socialism).
I once met Ed Asner and heard his “lecture” at the University of Dayton, OH in 1993. It is a Catholic College. Everyone was gushing over him and all I could think was “this guy is annoying.” I felt like a member in the town who was gushing over the Emperior’s new clothes.

Actors who take on the self important role of Political activism, acting like they have authority over the “ignorant Americans” take on a whole new level of annoyingness. We could make a whole list for them. I have one very important name for this list… Stuart Smalley. Since when does being a writer and comedian for SNL give one a Masters degree in Law or Political Science? I guess he is good enough, smart enough and doggonit, people like him.
