Too many priests are missing out on ordinary ministry, cardinal warns (CNA)

Many of our parishes have closed or been combined. Most of them needed to be eliminated mostly because of lack of available priests. Some are eliminated because of safety needs. The chapels of convince were closed years ago to be more cost effective. I understand all of these reasons.

I wonder how many priests there are just in the Pittsburgh, PA Diocese only (lots of universities that say they are catholic) teach in the universities and provide services for the Diocese and do not serve the people that live here?

Or how about the Greensburg, PA Diocese? Or any other Diocese for this matter.
