When you stop to consider all the other important issues it just does seem right that most people are focused on sexual issues.
Sex is at the very core of the culture of life.

Society has raised the issue by permeating the media and our schools talking about the subject.

We Catholic faithful are seeking guidance from the Church on how to respond to what society is claiming about sex.

As a result, the Church is speaking on matters which have not been accessible to us like this in the past.

It’s quite understandable for there to be a lot of threads. This is a subject which has been taboo for such a long time - let alone taboo from discussing with authorities of the Church. The air is being cleared and it is so refreshing.

Too much sex, all the same, and everyone, including The Catholic Church ignores all the other evils–violence, greed, revenge, cowardice, fortune and fame and so forth. They all act like sex was Public Enemy No. 1.
Oh really? Where’s your supporting evidence for this? What if the whole public is concerned about this? The Church can’t just ignore their questions, jeers, cheers, cries (etc.) and look towards something else. Believe it or not the Church does keep up with modern problems and tries her best to heal those who are “sick” today.

Sex is the orgin of life; and can often be the orgin of the problems you listed like violence, greed, revenge, cowardice, fortune, fame, etc. When you try to heal a problem, you heal the root or cause of it…not the side affects! And that’s another reason why there is a lot of focus on the sexual issue…the wrong thought/s can lead up to the sins you listed. And once that issue is straighten out, the majority (or a lot) of the problems will subside as well.
