Mine too! It’s the first answer on my lips whenever I’m asked what my fave movie is. The scenery is gorgeous, and the score to die for! I saw the opera “Gianni Schicchi” once on stage, and I couldn’t breathe while “O Mio Babbino Caro” was being sung, I was fighting back the tears. Not because of the opera Gianni Schicchi, but because of the movie A Room With a View. I can’t count the # of times I’ve seen the movie because sometimes I put it in just for backgroud noise.
Yes, someday I would love to get a CD. I’ve already worn out one VHS tape and one DVD, since it has been my favorite movie for more than twenty years now. I also think many people fail to notice just how funny the movie is too. So, it’s not just a mushy romance. It’s witty, and lush, and completely appealing to all of the senses.

The Notebook

it was a really mushy story. i kind of like it, though.

I love the scene where her lady-in-waiting, a big plump chicken with a Scottish accent, fends off the bad guys by busting some football player moves.
Isn’t that a great scene?!? I can hear Prince John in my head yelling, “Sieze the fat one!” I just laugh and laugh and laugh!:rotfl:

And the fight song comes on the soundtrack! :rotfl: :rotfl:

That movie is not considered one of Disney’s best, but I always got a big kick out of it – watched it over and over with my son when he was little. Love the music, too!

And I look over my shoulder…😉

My favorite part is Robin and Marian planning their wedding, honeymoon and how many kids they’re going to have (Marian~“Six? Oh, at least twelve!”) while kicking butt and taking names!

And the scenes between Prince John and Sir Hiss the two-faced snake always crack me up.

Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind
Oh, I forgot that one. I love this movie!

I like seeing Jim Carrey in more serious roles like this one or The Truman Show. It sure beats Ace Ventura, although I do love Dumb and Dumber. :o

He was good in “The Mask.” Loved that Desi Arnaz “Cuban Pete” song and dance routine!

One that I haven’t seen mentioned is “Love with the Proper Stranger” with Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen. I think it’s a great movie, but you will NEVER see it on TV because it deals with abortion. Also, I think Rocky I is a great romantic movie.

We loved “Fun With Dick And Jane”. I can’t remember when I last laughed so much during a movie. We had a lot of bills due around the time we saw it so maybe we identified with their financial troubles! 😛 I feel like watching it again now that I’m talking about it, but I know it will never be quite as funny as it was the first time round. Why is that?
