Hugo Chavez is an extremely dangerous man. He is another Fidel Castro except that he is worse because he has all that oil and more influence. I think we have to start taking him much more seriously, but I think it might be too late. I hope and pray that the Church in Venezuela can use her influence to stop him, but I truly think it might be a little too late. I hope I am wrong.😦
 
The Chuch has been persecuted by Chavez for several years now. In at least one instance he sent in troops to break up a prayer rally and to smash statues that were precious to the local population.

The people in Venezuela have a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother. I pray that they cling to that during the coming trials.
