I’ve read similar things before. I personally do not think its sinful to show the arms exposed from the elbow to the wrist in church in this day and age but I am sure some traditionalists would say different. I’d much rather see a female come to Holy Mass wearing a nice shirt and knee length skirt (or even a nice pair of loose fitting pants if they are uncomfortable in skirts or dresses) that is modest compared to a female who wears a tight little black dress that barely covers the bum more suited for a dance club to Mass.
I know since I’ve been going to the EF Mass, I’ve changed my ways in dress for Mass & activities outside of it like work. But when most stores think that plus sized women like me want to always (or most of the time) expose some amount of cleavage even if its not appropriate for the situation, shirt purchases can be an issue and a challenge to overcome. So, I do invest in a modest cami to wear under the shirt, or use some form of cover up like a shawl depending on the weather.
