Ooo! Ooo! Pick me! Pick me! :yup:Just curious, are there any here who feel a calling to be a traditional priest or nun?
Oh. Thatās me.Just curious, are there any here who feel a calling to be a traditional priest or nun?
I will remember you in my prayers. We do need more priests who will teach the traditions of the church. I think that the tenets of the church are lost somewhere in the new way of doing things. I am not putting down the NO, I just feel sorry for those who have not experienced the solemnity and reverence of the TLM. More yet, I get frustrated by those who know nothing of the old ways, but sermonize against them.Oh. Thatās me.
Iām actually taking a bolder step and going through the dioceseā¦and already asking the Bishop for an indult.
But, iām sure in six or so years when I finish seminary things will be different. If nothing else, the Bishop is aware of my desires and has promised to ācaterā to them so long as I am willing to celebrate the Novus Ordo as well.
I am drawn to the FSSP with a passion, but I truely feel the people at the diocese level need me more. They are the ones unaware of our own tradtions and are in need of instruction. Iāll need a lot of grace to sustain me on this battlefield.

You always seem to have a new and beautiful picture on your signature Caesar.Hello
I want to be a traditional priest
There are traditional nuns, look at the list on the Una Voce International site.
All three of them are my close friends. They will make wonderful priests.Nick, Caesar and Ressurexit, all three of you are going to make wondeful priests. I pray for your vocations every day. God bless you all.
My family isnt too thrilled either. In fact, they are probably quite against the idea.I think I might be being called to be a priest, but I have a lot more praying and listening to do so I can know what God wants me to do!
I know one thing though: if I become a priest, I will be a traditional priest that will do his best to uphold orthodoxy!
Although the prospect of telling this to my parents scares me a bit, especially considering that my dad isnāt very Catholic (he divorced my mom two years ago after cheating on her)ā¦and my mom might think that I was abandoning herā¦
God bless you!You always seem to have a new and beautiful picture on your signature Caesar.
And as for the OP, I too am discerning a vocation as a Traditional Priest.
To all the young men who have responded to this thread, that they desire to become Holy, Traditional Catholic Priests, you have my prayers. Perhaps Iāll be fortunate enough to meet some of you if you decide to enter into the Institute of Christ the King. Many candidates come to St. Louis to discern their vocation. Father Karl Lenhardt is the Vice-Provinicial (sp?) of the order here in the US. He is working on starting a pre-seminary at St. Francis de Sales.Nick, Caesar and Ressurexit, all three of you are going to make wondeful priests. I pray for your vocations every day. Ah yes, French is taught in the pre-seminary formation program in St. Louis. Latin is also taught, as well as introductory studies in theology and the Liturgy. To all the young men who have responded to this thread, that they desire to become Holy, Traditional Catholic Priests, you have my prayers. btwā¦are any of you fluent in French? I believe this is a requirement to enter the seminary in Italy. The young men are taught in French, if my memory serves me correctly.
God bless you allā¦
I just finished my application to a Discalced Carmelite convent (a cloistered one) not too far from where I live. I hope I get accepted!Just curious, are there any here who feel a calling to be a traditional priest or nun? are there not traditonal Catholic nuns?
i believe there is. Do any of you know the prayer for priests?
i think it goes something like this,
oh Lord grant us holy priests, oh Lord grant us many holy priests.
something to that effect.
also, what is a discalced nun?
If we have any traditional nuns, what order do you belong to?
In Canada? I didnt know there were any Carmelites in Canada besides the convent in Niagra FallsI just finished my application to a Discalced Carmelite convent (a cloistered one) not too far from where I live. I hope I get accepted!

Is it traditional?
New Age courses! How sad. There is another convent of Carmetlites in St Catharinesā¦and they are very traditional in full habit to boot! I think they are some kind of nursesā¦Code:
The one in Niagara Falls is far from being traditionalā¦as of this year, they are going to implement New Age courses!!! Although their monastery is very beautiful!
