You know nothing of what Transgender Day of Remembrance is and you are disrespecting what the day stands for. It is to mourn the loss of Transgendered individuals who have committed suicide because of how society treated them or who were murderedby evil people just for living their lives as who they are. We should mourn the wasteful destruction of life. Or do you all think that Transgendered individuals deserve to be murdered? As a Transgendered Girl, I have a 1 in 12 or 8% chance of being murdered for living my life as who God made me. Also, as a Disabled Girl, I have a 1 in 200 or 0.5% of being murdered. There is a 25% chance that, if I am murdered, the cops would have murdered me in both situations. The two highest demographics of people at the highest risk for being murdered are demographics that I am a part of. I do not deserve to die, no one deserves to die. So, I will mourn for all of those people who are murdered annually. Some of the people murdered for being Transgendered were my friends.
I can’t wait for the day that one of these bully runs into the wrong transperson, one who can physically take care of his or her self, knock the bully’s block off.

(I’d corresponded with Andrea over the Internet… she was my friend…)

There are few Trans people who have not lost someone they know to murder.

I’m sorry if this makes you feel uncomfortable, so that you don’t want to be made aware of it.

I’m sorry that you’d rather withdraw your children from school rather than they be told that this kind of thing happens all over the world.

I’m sorry for you. Because you have lost your way.

The worst thing that could happen to me is to share Cynthia Nichole’s fate. That’s unlikely, but not impossible: I have too high an Internet profile, I’m too active to be safe. I really don’t want it to, for one thing few deaths are clean, they usually involve torture. I have people who love me who would be devastated by it. I’m not martyr material, and lack faith.

But I won’t be silent.

Nobody deserves to be bullied but nobody needs to be transgendered either.
A contrary view:

See S10. The Neurobiological Evidence for Transgenderism
  1. Brain Gender Identity Sidney W. Ecker, M.D.
  2. Transsexuality as an Intersex Condition Milton Diamond, Ph.D.
  3. Novel Approaches to Endocrine Treatment of Transgender Adolescents and Adults Norman Spack, M.D.
A presentation given to the American Psychiatric Association’s annual meeting, detailing the findings of autopsies, MRI scans and rather more simple tests showing that Trans people have cross-sexed neurology.

As Prof Ecker wrote to me:
Yes, we gave our presentation to 60 plus psychiatrists from the US, AU, FR, IT, EU, UK, Holland etc.
We spoke for 2 1/2 hours on why cross gender identity was a normal inherited variation of humans. We showed how Transgender Brains think, smell, and hear like the opposite sex. We presented internationally accepted guidelines for hormonal treatment of transsexuals to be published Summer 2009.
Here are my slides and with my participants’ permission I shall send you theirs. We are now in print in the APA Syllabus and soon in the APA Journal this summer. I am checking if we were recorded.
My greatest personal compliment came from Frank Kruijver, from Holland, whose research of the human brain in TSs started it all. He thought we have taken his work very far in our understanding of the human brain. Hope you can do something with this.
Sid Ecker, M.D.
Not so long ago, those babies born with hare lip or cleft palates were deemed to be “spawn of the devil” and were put to death - along with their mothers - by decent, God-Fearing people. This hasn’t been done for centuries in the West, not since witch-burning went out of style, but still happens in some notionally “christian” communities in Africa.

I wonder what the systematic Church-approve persecution of trans people will look like to historians a hundred years hence?

I’m sorry, but if a boy goes to school in a dress he will be kidded by the other boys. Part of growing up is finding out there is a difference that God made, no matter how much adults want to pretend there isn’t. Kids instinctively know that. We call that part of Natural Law. Kids call it common sense.
Commonsense doesn’t always work perfectly with children. Children happen to be more conformist than adfults. There were several years in grade school where I got bullied for merely wearing a stocking cap when it got coldoutdoors because the other kids were not. Thats why you correct and discilpline children. My father himself had a few goofy dieas when I was a child, but if I was caught bullying for anyreason whatsoever, I got a swift hard kick in the pants if dad had been in a good mood, and we won’t even mention what I got if he already was in a bad mood to begin with. I say bring back corporal punishment in schools and bullys get the breadboard put to the fanny a few times, and on the second offense they are thrown out of school.
