Transgendering the local library

I work in a large downtown public library. Nearly every day, weird stuff happens. Overdoses – most commonly spice (rarely opiates). Fights. Cops come in looking for people with active warrants. People with firearms, people with homemade knives. Drug deals. People having domestic disputes. People violating restraining orders. Drunk (or otherwise impaired) people with firearms. Medical emergencies of all kinds - diabetic problems, heart attacks, seizures. People being, ahem, inappropriately affectionate. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to police this stuff if all the bathrooms are private with a lockable door?

Wow, those are some stressful conditions for you to be working in!
Never a dull moment, but I don’t think I would be very happy having to witness that on a regular basis.

Yes, I should clarify that not all of those incidents happen daily. : ) And luckily we do have security staff! I thank heaven that they are there. They put up with a lot of bad stuff – especially the women guards, who get truly awful comments.

I used to volunteer in a library and thankfully I haven’t seen anything like what you’ve described but I have no doubt all that stuff happens in both libraries and parks.

Is that the reason toilets in the US don’t have private cubicles? I’ve always wondered why.

But at least we still have physical books, for the time being anyway.

It always mystifies me when people get all up in arms about gender neutral bathrooms.
  1. They’re typically nicer and more private anyway, so everyone can enjoy them.
  2. It solves a lot of problems. Like when my little niece needs to use the bathroom but she’s not old enough to go herself. Am I supposed to find a stranger to assist her? Do I go into the women’s bathroom (girl’s baffroom) to help her with a bag on my head? Drag her into the men’s room with a bag in HER head.
  3. Did I mention they’re nicer? And usually cleaner?
There are lots of reasons for wanting gender neutral batrhooms than to appease libtard cuck sjw antifa feminazi gender politics.

I think it’s the cost. I’ve seen new buildings built with a number of small rooms with toilets and sinks which work ok as gender neutral toilets. The traditional 2 rooms with cubicles wouldn’t work and the cost of renovating every public building would be very high.
