It is enough for me that Christ’s blood is present; let it be with the wine as God wills. Before I would drink mere wine with the Enthusiasts, I would rather have pure blood with the Pope.

The Catholic Church does not accept Martin Luther as an authority on any matter in any way, shape and form and excommunicated him as a heretic.

I was always told the Eucharist was supposed to make us more like Christ - more grace filled. 🙂

You’ll get no argument from me on wayward stuff in Catholic Churches - but what that has to do with breathing fire (in the name of love and fellowship of course) on Lutherans - I don’t get that. Jesus I suspect is probably scratching his head a little bit too. 😉

My post was for those that lurk, that they not believe that Luther’s quote you posted is somehow authoritative in the Catholic Church.

My grandfather that was born in Germany told me as a child that Luther was visited by Satan and if you go to his study you can see the ink stain on the floor where Luther through ink at the devil

Or terrify your opponent and/or fellow Catholic into thinking you are possessed by demons and that Luther was actually right after all. 😉 If this is good Catholics on a regular diet of Eucharists…hold that bus, I’m coming.

You aren’t my opponent I am just wondering as an Anglican what is holding you back… If you said you where episcapalian I now it would be morals but Anglican don’t get why your not catholic

We could trade Luther quotes all day of course but I’ll post my favorite.
