Saul Alinsky…that’s the name of the guy in my previous post…here’s a trailer of the program I found on youtube

Progressives are always high minded.
I would argue that they think they are high minded and all others are ignorant of the good that needs to be done on large scale, to save the stupid people from themselves. Those stupid coal miners for example. They should find other jobs rather than working for coal companies… (I did hear we were running out of resources for wind mills and solar panels…)

Jesus never says what he “hopes” Caesar would use taxes for. His focus was on the individual, not government.

We don’t really have a lot to say about what the government does with money. Certainly, we have not seen much in the way of Catholic principles exercised by the federal administrations we have had for some while.

I thought I heard the turmoil was the object of the movement… so it sounds like today for sure…

Caesar was an individual, loved by God, in need of salvation. What Jesus asks of each individual includes him asking Caesar.

Wow! What a trailer. I think this blows Michael Moore’s best effort all to pieces. I usually have no use for docudramas, finding them more tedious than entertaining, but this might be an exception.

Jesus Himself was progressive for His time. I mean, he was the first feminist after all (equality of the sexes)

Jesus was asked whether it was lawful to pay taxes to Caesar. The questioner wanted a yes or no response. Jesus does not answer the question. “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s; give to God what is God’s,” is his way of evading a question posed as a trap.

I always thought that the money had the picture of Caesar on it so it must belong to Caesar. Who’s picture is on your soul? (Who does your soul belong to…) God’s? Then give to God your soul (and whole body)!!!
Jesus did not evade the question but answered it only as God could…
