it sounds like she turned her life around and i pray she will do good with her second chance.

I don’t see spin being required.
Two decades of model behavior combined with her age doesn’t indicate a likelihood to re-offend.

John Gotti was given life without parole, but there are clear indicators he was a consummate gangster. A pardon for John would require spin, regardless of his model behavior.

What do you think should be done to people trafficking in drugs,
where their product may have harmed hundreds if not thousands?

And, how would you react if we legalized said drugs?

Jailhouse religion.

I have a cousin that has been incarcerated most of life. He would get that Jailhouse Religion and be declared to have model behavior for years. Once he got out…he eventually finds himself back in.

The Prosecutor, Jury and Judge consigned her to her fate.

Trump commuted something that should have been commuted.

As for the both sides not delving into this?
Each side has it own reasons for not doing so, so I speculate below.

Brietbart etal: Trump did something that Obama did not do. They have been riding that since the news broke. In addition to the fact no one is really making an anti-Trump issue out of it YET.

CNN etal: They are leaving it alone because she is a double minority. Black and Female.
