**Big mistake. **
HE IS NOT VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT INTERNATION POLITICS. UNFORTUNATELY HE WILL BE PLAYED AND IS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE. HE ERRONEOUSLY IS TRUSTING PEOPLE WITH AGENDAS TO ADVICE HIM IN THIS DEPARTMENT.

This is a set up. Assad is not stupid and in real life is a responsible leader who the Syrians who are not cutting checks from the CIA, respect and wants to remain in power. He would NEVER use chemical weapons against his people. CIA and Mossad already tried this in Damascus and it went back to them. I guess they thought to give it a second time in an attempt to get some leverage and unfortunately Trump who is behind Israel and all is going for it. So sad for the Syrian people to stand by and watch their country be destroy.

YES. BIG MISTAKE!!! :mad::mad::mad:

Let us pray for peace.

This nun tells an amazring stories about who the so-called rebels were not even Syrians but mercenaries. It is revealing what she shares (far for the deception the media is trying to brain wash the American with) but it is in Spanish. youtube.com/watch?v=dPBf7UlUcXQ

Enough is enough. TAKE THEM OUT. Any government that thinks it’s ok to gas innocent men, women and children deserve what they get, in this world and the next.
And you believe it because you read this where?

Trump has sold out. I assume he’s been compromised by NWO Globalists.
I like his domestic policies but, he is pathetic with the international. I hope some body educates him soon, but, I have no hope for this. He is pro israel and must continue the destruction of the ME to make way for the expansion of Israel and it terrorism. Real sick.

Tomahawk missiles (lower block models) cost roughly $600,000 each plus cost of ship fuel, etc, etc.
the navy took target practice against desert airbases that will most likely be up & running again in 48 hours

$35,000,000 in wasted ammunition. to accomplish nothing nothing other than to provoke russian ire

trump campaigned on non-intervention in syria

what is next? US infantry in this god-forsaken hell hole?

Russian and Syrian military evacuated personnel and equipment before the strike. Doesn’t seem to be any damage to the runway, damage seems to be limited to fuel tanks. Reports that civilians were injured.

Praying for Syria tonight and that the civil war there will be over very soon and they can have peace and rebuild their lives. :signofcross::gopray2::signofcross:
The sick thing is that there never was nor is there a ‘civil war’ in Syria.

Rudolph Giuliani who represents the interests of a the Jewish community of New York (they were the ones to put him in power to begin with) has chosen to stay in the background - and I smell him cashing in on his support for Trump. Maybe Trump did not accept contribution but he did sold out to Israel. In doing so, he gave away his international relations control. Sick.

35 MILLION dollars (at minimum estimate) to chase away the personnel manning these desert outposts for a few hours? how can this be justified?

Does anyone think the people who will replace Assad will be better? They most likely won’t. Most of the opposition have Islamist militancy tendencies. Look them up. Let’s assume that non-sectarian people were installed (even though the whole idea is complete fantasy), we know the fate of these people, they are weak and will get toppled. Look at Libya. The problems in the Middle East and Afghanistan can’t be solved by the West, Russia, China, Brazil or any country outside the region. It is up to them to decide what they want. The role for the rest of the world is to help the *most *vulnerable.
No, but my guess is that this was done also to show the rest of the world which has been testing and threatening America, what Trump is willing to do.

And what he is doing is as of right now NOT neo-con or big feely-feel left-wing nation building.

It’s just a more aggressive approach of the Obama doctrine.

wasting money, ammunition, time & trouble and obliquely provoking Russia? i am not sure i am on board with any of that

Exactly. And, don’t forget China and Iran. It’s stupid to underestimate China. Very stupid.

all of those 59 tommyhawk missiles that were launched into sand & abandoned nissen huts are going to have to be replaced by taxpayers at great expense

where are are we going (as a nation) with this strategy? 😦

Its all over the news here.

The state of play

If you’re just joining us, the world is reeling from the news that the US fired 59 missiles at a Syrian air base.

US President Donald Trump ordered the attack in response to a chemical weapon attack earlier this week that killed more than 70 civilians, including children.

Trump said he acted because it was in the US’s vital interests to prevent the use of chemical weapons.

Initial indications are that the attack is a “one off”.

Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has backed the attack, but noted “we are not at war” with the Assad regime.

I very much wonder, given some of the bizarre notions of his friend Steve Bannon, whether President Trump is intentionally trying to start something (I would call it World War III, but that would be a step too far as yet) through such an act.:(🤷

On a less doom-saying note, I seriously doubt that this military action meets the conventional Catholic criteria for a just war in any way. 😦

The immediate ones are the lives of about eighty people including children. There will be more. … poison gas kills indescriminately. Are lives cost measurable?

Don’t know. War, killing are ugly. The US will, one way or the other, be affected by the deterioration in Syria. The refugees will find their way to America and already it has caused so much contraversy.
