Harder to interrupt and cause distractions?

With him being COVID-19 positive, the president really should not be travelling. I imagine him going to the debates could result in more COVID-19 cases.that’s not safe.

If the previous debate is any indication, he has no rationale for why he should be re-elected, no list of things he wants to accomplish, in short no game.

Not true, but if he did nothing but block Biden’s plans, particularly those that will oppress Catholic charities and providers, that would be sufficient.

As a very outspoken Trump supporter, perhaps you could explain why its laudable for a very much infectious, still covid-positive, president to INSIST an in person debate when another option is available?
 
The only difference is they can mute him if he interrupts

How do you know he will be positive next week or even that he is today? Fact is, you don’t. But as I said, if I was him I wouldn’t do a video debate, and for the same reason lawyers generally won’t do depositions that way. Too easy to be provided with answers.

But it was deemed safe for Harris and Pence to be separated only by a couple of plastic shields. Either of them could have been carrying the virus.

With Trump having tested positive for COVID-19 along with 34 named associations and an undisclosed number if unnamed associates, it is known that he has been carrying an infections disease.

I don’t feel like I have a stake in this politically, but surely you do think there’s a difference between someone who has been confirmed to have Covid and someone who might hypothetically have it?

I wouldn’t sir next to someone who has been diagnosed with it in the last few weeks, but I would sit next to someone who hasn’t been confirmed to have it.
 
And if the doctors say Trump’s not infectious for the debate, then what? Same result? After all, everybody is willing to rely on Biden’s people saying Biden’s in the clear.

Likewise. I have sat next to someone that had it, recovered, and then had two negative tests on two different days.

If news of the president testing negative accompanied his wishes to debate in-person, then I might look at his position differently. But from where I sit now it looks like reckless negligence.
