Except if those are our only two actual choices (as a wise sage/alien overlord once said when the option of voting for a third party was raised, “GO AHEAD – THROW YOUR VOTE AWAY! HA HA HA HA!” 🙂 )

With Trump so wishy-washy on abortion and really so arrogant and bloviating that as a mild conservative I’d be ashamed to have him as the standard bearer of pretty much anything, I’d have a hard time voting for him.
(Full disclosure – I was way ahead of the pack on disliking Donald Trump. I washed my hands of him the moment he laid into John McCain for being a POW – the “I don’t consider losers to be heroes” remark. McCain could have easily gained his release from the Hanoi Hilton any time he wanted, because the North Vietnamese were eager to use him as a bargaining chip with his father, a top admiral. And each time the NV troops offered him early release, he refused. He stood up to Hell on Earth because he would not accept special treatment from his tormentors while other POWs who were not connected remained to be tortured. Say what you will as McCain as a Senator – and there is plenty to say against his record there – his stint as a POW was one of courage. All this while Trump was stateside on a deferment and so he and his comb-over never made it anywhere near Vietnam. And it made Trump look like the petty bully he is to mock the man for it. Sorry. I had to get that off my chest. My dad is a Vietnam vet. I have respect for those who were over there.)

Hillary? I can not trust her one iota. She’s in the pocket of Planned Parenthood (a non-starter right there), and IMO will say anything and do anything to get elected.

So who am I supposed to vote for? This cycle’s Lyndon Larouche?!?

If it came to it, I wouldn’t truly leave the country, but I honestly do not know whom I’d vote for.

They’re the same ones who threatened to leave after Bush was re elected, but somehow they’re still here…
 
Any candidate who is pro-choice would never get my vote if I were in the US, so if I were an American citizen and it was between Hillary and trump, I would go trump and pray and hope for the best. But there is no way I would vote for a pro-choice candidate.

But for where? I’m constantly informed that from the perspective of the other Western countries, the Democrats are the right and the Republicans the far right. There IS no where else to go with more conservative policies (well, that isn’t third world or otherwise problematic). This is it.

Right. For me, I’d vote 3rd party and then start stocking up on food, water, other supplies, and wait for the apocalypse. I say this with all seriousness - if it’s between Hillary and Trump… shudders.
 
This would be a real struggle for me. I’m independent, though I lean conservative. I could not vote for either of these candidates. My vote for a third party candidate might be a “throw-away” vote but I don’t think my conscience would let me do otherwise. It sort of feels like having to choose between stupid reckless and intelligent evil.
 
I don’t trust Trump, either. But I wouldn’t vote for Hillary if someone was holding a gun to my head, or Bernie Sanders, or Mark O Malley, either.
I don’t know what Trump’s real stand is on abortion. Is he pro-life?
And I’m afraid he’ll go third party if he starts to slip in the polls or gets on the outs with the RNC-which may not be a stretch.
I really hope those aren’t our choices. Trump is the last Republican I want to vote for.

I may vote for him if he stays Republican and is the nominee and I could be assured he’s pro-life.

We have a farm on the sleepy west coast of Ireland. VERY remote. Very sleepy little place. Peace. Quiet. Beautiful parish. I could live there no problem.
