well, it may be a few seconds after 26: 19. The reporter from CBS television 1988 speaks to Trump about his book, “Trump, the Art of the Deal”. She asks him what he thinks people will get out of it. Trump replies, “It’s really a study of life, Kathleen-How to do it and how to really make lies…how to be with lies and how to live lies.”
I haven’t read Trump’s book but it was compared to “The Power Of Positive Thinking”, a modern rendition. You misheard the text you quoted, they said life/lives not lie(s). Are you projecting what you want to hear?

I very well could have misheard what he said, but his actions seem to follow suit as well as the rest of what he says and does. He is very influence by Norman Vincent Peal as he tells.

I disagree with that opinion, but I could understand how one who agrees with the Catholic Church’s position on the subject to honestly feel that way.
She’s extreme because she approves of late term abortions up to the day before birth! She’s also stated she’d only nominate pro abortion Supreme Court Justices. I could never vote for her as the less of two evils.

A more scientific rendition is covered in a book called “Learned Optimism”

An interesting Poll statistic on the NV caucus

The word ends with an “s”. I had to listen to it over and over a few times myself. But if one listens to the whole video they will hear examples and listen to Trump explain what he means in his book , “Trump, the Art of the Deal” about creating his own hype by “accentuating the positive” which he calls “truthful hyperbole” “an innocent form of exaggeration.” He says, “To be successful in business you have to put up a good front. Life is not all sincerity. Life is an act to a large extent.”** Start listening at 52:53 **. There is a lot more in the video that I find quite disturbing including his treatment of farmers in Scotland over some land that he wanted to build a golf course on.
I can no longer assume you made an honest mistake.

I can’t fault this conclusion at all. Trump clearly says “life” and the interviewer even repeats it. So we have two different people clearly saying “life”.

I’m no Trump fan at all, but c’mon. It’s hard not to assume someone is approaching it with an agenda when they try that hard to “hear” what’s obviously not there, even after the reality is pointed out.

C’mon listen to it again. You don’t hear an “s” sound at the end? Also you have to take into context what else he says. (I am not talking about the word “life” as used in the first sentence. “It is really a study of life, Kathleen…” He clearly says “life” there, but he goes on and says, "How to do it, how to make lies (there is an s ending to this and to others following) and Kathleen questions him, then he repeats “How to make lies…” Now , I could be misunderstanding him, but there is an s sound at the end of the word.

Really? You can’t assume that someone can make an honest mistake? You don’t know me. But there is an s sound at the end of each word. Whether it is “lives” or “lies” I am not certain. But neither is it “life” as you say it is.

God bless you for your standing firm!

I read my post after I posted it and it read right to me. Now after the time for editing has past there are a couple of errors. I don’t get how this occurred. 🤷

I’ll say this, it’s only a most stupid person who will say “make lies” on TV.

The saying sounds stupid no matter what word is used, IMO. Does this sound any less stupid- “…How to really make lives, how to be with lives, and how to live lives.” ? 🤷 Anyway, I am considering the documentary in it’s entirety and not going to focus on one quote.

Just because Donald Trump says he is pro life does not mean he is. I am watching a man who plays racial politics, makes fun of women, and gives no real policy proposals. He also exhibits no self control.

And I am suppose to give him control of our nuclear Arsenal. Some discernment is needed here. I am sorry when I hear him speak I get sick.

Has anyone read his book? Whatever they were referencing was in the book.

I heard “life” and “lives” but since they were comparing him to “The Power of Positive Thinking” perhaps they were referring to positive visualizations. Isn’t telling yourself you feel great and life is good when you are depressed and broke a form of lying. 😊

I only read Peale’s book, and am speculating.

I also find it difficult to believe that a man who only gets about 4 hours of sleep each night because he is so busy working on building up the name of TRUMP, that he would find the time to work on solving the problems of our nation. He doesn’t need money. He has to be in charge, he has to be in control. Hillary may have been caught in a few lies, but at least we do know what she stands for on certain issues. How in the heck is he going to convince Mexico to build that wall? It’s all hype. We cannot trust anything Trump says because he will say anything to get people to follow him. Apparently many people are placing too much trust in his money and power. For me, I find it too dangerous of a power to put my trust in.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder how much he means what he says.

You don’t have to visualise, you simply have to say the words and mean it. Its sound
psychology. If a depressed person says to themself - " I feel dreadful, my problems
are so great that I’ll never be able to cope with them " he is more at risk of going and
committing suicide. Wheras Scripture teaches us positive thinking . In Romans , Paul
is speaking about the Faith of Abraham. When God told 1 00 year old Abraham that he and his 90 year old wife Sara were going to have a son, Abraham
believed God. Romans 5:17 " As it is written, I have appointed thee the
father of many nations. He is our father, in the sight of God, whom he believed,
Who gives life to the dead and CALLS THINGS THAT NOT AS THOUGH THEY
WERE . 😃
