If that is what he looked like days later you know it was bad, ten to fifteen people beating on him. He had just bought the hat and I am glad he is speaking out.

I would have thought that in a group of 15 people there would have been enough of them to step in and prevent such brutality. I am not medically trained but I wouldn’t be surprised if permanent eye damage occurred. Of course I hope not.

Ouch! People must really hate Trump for things to escalate this much!

Which says much about the people hating and little about the object of their hatred. I would not say I hate anyone; seems wholly unchristian to me, no matter how little I thought of the former President.

Some folks are just angry, unhappy people, and that is a sad way to live.

He has done things for which they cannot forgive him:
-Appointing two likely prolife justices to the Supreme Court, possibly thus endangering “abortion rights”
-Reinstituting the Mexico City policy, preventing American money from paying for abortions overseas.
-Letting the Little Sisters of the Poor off the Obama Mandate which required them to provide abortifacients to their employees and themselves.
-Allowing states to defund Planned Parenthood.

Interesting that (according to ABC news) the police have not made any arrests.

Yes, it is wrong to beat up someone based upon his political stance. It is very wrong and despicable. Now let’s wait for Trump to declare: “There are very fine people - ON BOTH SIDES!!!” I can hardly wait… but I will NOT hold my breath. 😦
ROFL, you are lame with analogies.

I’m sure there were very fine people on the NY street, but not the 15 underage drunk beaters.

Trump was talking about the thousands in the parade, not the thugs starting fights like the group in question here.

When the Charlottesville, Virginia rally took place, the reason for the rally was to protect the Robert E Lee statue which many saw as a war memorial dedicated to the lost of their loved ones in the south.

The rally was about the statue and many good people attended solely for that purpose. This is what president Trump was alluding too and nothing more.

The event turned tragic.

An absurd example but suppose there was a gay pride parade and some militant militia group ran a car into some counter protesters, does that make everyone who attended the event evil.

I guess that would depend on each one’s intentions and support level for the violence.

Strange the cap came out in much better shape than he. No one wanted to destroy the cap? Hmmm. But then I probably watch too much Columbo.

Just one more thing……… 🙂

Same script every episode but I still enjoyed it.

I think the thing that I liked about it was this humble detective, very softly spoken and gentle coming out on top in every episode with all different types of murderers who thought they were smarter than Columbo to the point of ridiculing and playing with him.

Again the videos are there, hundreds who are not chanting.

The statue still stands although it is repeatedly vandalized with paint and anti Trump remarks. The case is still in the courts.

How many chanted.
Among the Friday night marchers - the people that Trump was talking about as he spoke of the good people on both sides, the people that organized and publicized the event - it seem like essentially all of them.

“There are very fine people - ON BOTH SIDES!!!”
He was specifically talking about the take down or leave up confederate monument debate. The only people who still perpetuate the lie of Trump saying some neo nazis were very fine people just refuse to look at the facts. they prefer the lie to the truth.

not possible when you already have your mind made up because “i know what i heard” like some people on these forums have said.

I am not sure of what you are saying.

But that actuality vs the spin on Trump remarks have been discussed here before. There are many links to the actual remarks. It is on the basis of the actual remarks that I have formed my conclusions.
