Seems possible. I mean ABC, Fox, RawStory, NBC… they’re all reporting it’s being explored as a contingency. What’s really frightening from the Republican perspective is that if Trump does drop out, but doesn’t do so by very early September, there won’t be a Republican candidate on the ballot at all since the RNC wouldn’t be able to get a replacement name on the ballot in time in enough states to matter.
I sometimes fantasize that Ryan will jump in if Trump self-destructs and save the day by winning the election. What would he do with his House Speaker position, however? That’s not part of my fantasy. Also in my fantasy, I’m not in the least concerned that Ryan is a conservative Republican. He is smart, competent, and can handle the enormous demands of the job with some solidly innovative policies.

Maybe Trump heard you…

Looks like he’s sending his people into Wisconsin to try and to defeat Paul Ryan in his primary battle for his congressional seat

That’s not typically how a presidential candidate pays back someone who endorses him.

Ok, so VP candidate Pence has now split from Trump on Paul Ryan. Pence is openly endorsing Paul Ryan. Meanwhile Trump refused to endorse him and his former campaign staff have been traveling to Wisconsin to work against Mr. Ryan’s re-election. That’s a very big difference of opinion to be so openly flouting when you’re talking about the Speaker of the House from your own party

These people are FORMER Trump workers. Being FORMER, they’re probably taking jobs offered by Ryan’s opponent. It is in their line of work and all.

True, but when coupled with Trump’s refusal to endorse Ryan (who endorsed him), it does seem an odd turn of events to then have Pence come out and so openly endorse Ryan. It’s definitely sending mixed messages if nothing else.

Shades of the 1964 presidential race between LBJ and Goldwater, in which Goldwater was portrayed as reckless and liable to push the nuclear button at a moment’s notice. Little did we know that Johnson would get us deeper into Vietnam. I’m sure the Democrats will capitalize on the extremism angle. So what do we have: a Republican candidate who has been described as untrustworthy, incompetent, temperamentally unfit for the office of the presidency, a loose cannon, even psychologically disturbed, and now extremely dangerous. Of course, Reagan was also described as a warmonger, but that didn’t work since the economy at the time was in such bad shape (worse than now) under the Carter administration.

Crucial difference being that Reagan was a competent politician who had been governor of California. He definitely was not ignorant about the US system of politics and power.

Hillary is evidently suffering from severe problems from her 2012 head injury. Dizziness.loss of memory. Constant coughing. That coupled with the upcoming release of her personal emails could force her out What is the Democrat Party procedure for replacing a nominee?
I’ve heard about her coughing, which might or might not be anything, but what is this about head injuries? Can you provide a source?

We are also seeing a liberal dose of McCarthyism

The Republican Party has lost to Donald Trump

From the article:

Before the convention, Trump was making an effort to persuade the GOP establishment that he was an acceptable candidate. He picked Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate. Manafort was brought in to professionalize the campaign. Trump’s campaign speeches became more scripted.

But for Trump, a self-proclaimed dealmaking master, those negotiations with the GOP ended once he was declared the official Republican nominee. If the past two weeks are any indication, Trump is now free to do whatever he wants, and there’s not much the rest of the party can do.

…]

There was a brief period before the convention where Trump was essentially negotiating with the GOP establishment — trying to convince them to get behind him. (That was reportedly one reason he picked Pence.) But Trump has now won, and he can say and do whatever he wants.

If somebody is rich they must be evil. What an enlightening philosophy. And when attacking a candidate, never forget to disparage his supporters. Who cares if there is a democracy? Way to go!
Did Jesus say
a) Matthew 19:21-22: “Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.”
b) Luke 6:34-36: “And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”
C) Luke 12:19-21: “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
d) Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days” James 5:1-3

Maybe it sends mixed messages to some. But at this point in the election cycle, these electioneering people will probably take whatever employment they can get in their line of work.

Well, after all, everybody on CAF purports to be an expert, so Trump might as well too.

It’s scary that Hillary would do it too. After all, she authored the disastrous war against Libya, shipped weapons to terrorist organizations in Syria, reveled in the war against Serbia and claimed to have been in a combat zone, and turned Egypt over to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Trump has never started a war. Sooo, as between the two of them, Dems who purport to be all for peace, should run from Hillary like a train from a tramp. But they don’t. 🤷

she authored the disastrous war against Libya,
Inaccurate.
shipped weapons to terrorist organizations in Syria,
Do you consider the pre-ISIS FSA to be a terrorist organization? If so, okay. If not, you can’t blame her, Obama or guys like John McCain for supporting the FSA prior to their allying with Al-Nursa years into the war.
reveled in the war against Serbia
The Bosnian War intervention was an incredible, and rare, success.
and claimed to have been in a combat zone,
Quite true. She did. And it was a major lie.
and turned Egypt over to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Um… no? The admin supported regime change in Egypt, which came via the people of Egypt. They then voted in the Muslim Brotherhood. That’s not the US’ fault. And, of course, al-Sisi rectified that.

Ugh. Cannot believe I just even partially defended Hillary. Gonna go take a bath now.
