Trump did not have a good week. It seems like before a lot of punches were thrown and he would avoid them. This week it seems like every swing that he received, connected and damaged him.
It did. And he’s still being pressured to release his taxes. The IRS said he could, so I would have to assume, as Romney does, that there is something very damaging in there.

Romney didn’t release his own tax records until September. When Harry Raid accused Romney of not having paid taxes in ten years, guess who came to his defense? Trump. That’s right. Romney truly showed his character this year.

Trump might fall slightly, but voters will uphold him. Every time he talks directly to the people he wins. 7 rallies in three days in Wisconsin. We shall see very soon.

What if at least 70% of men don’t like hillary? Wouldn’t that make it even?
Women comprise more of the electorate. In 2012 women cast 53% of the votes.

Then factor in that unmarried women, people of color and millennials — voters of the “Rising American Electorate” — will make up a majority of voters for the first time in 2016.

Then factor in what Lily Bernans said.

And you decide.

My guess would be no, it would not make it even. But I’ve been wrong before.

let the chips fall where they may. Let voters speak. If you like hillary and think she wins, enjoy your hope. I’m just happy we have a fighter in trump. He will never give up fighting for a win against hillary.

So glad trump is no Romney, not a wimp.

It seems this discussion is being treated as though the primaries are already over and it is just between the two frontrunners. (Forgive me if I’m just stating the obvious.)

#AlwaysClinton #AlwaysTrump
Well this is the Trump thread so we’re discussing a matchup of the still likely Democratic nominee vs Trump.

Yes I too am all for letting voters speak. And enjoy yours too. I’m all for keeping hope alive. 👍

Trump is a deeply flawed candidate. Almost as bad as Obama was. What is really sad is he is far preferable to either of the democrat canidates

I deeply respect your well-considered thoughts and beliefs, RR. I would support you to the end in applying them to your own fertility. But your fertility will never be my business unless you invite me into it. That’s what I mean when I say that Roe v. Wade is, ultimately, about privacy and every women’s right to control her sovereign body.

I hope we can agree to disagree and still be friends!
Except it isn’t her body that isn’t at issue, at all, is it. “My body, my choice” works if it’s about whether to pierce, brand, or tattoo my own flesh. Ending the life of a child given by God, who by the way is not an extension of a mother’s body but a human person separate, is the actual state of things.

Be that as it may, all polls show that he would lose to Hillary. I wonder if his supporters have thought about that?

Thank you. I am so tired of this idea that women are somehow misguided or a victim of society’s view of their right to whatever. We are not stupid. If we have an abortion, we know what we are doing. Perhaps that is why the woman is excommunicated. The Church realises SHE is committing the sin, the doctor is only assisting.
So, am I to understand that you absolutely don’t believe that there are women who can be coerced by parents or partners, or in overwhelmingly difficult financial or psychological situations that make abortion seem like the only way out for them? A way out that is more easily accessible and easier to rationalize away now that it’s legal and accepted, even celebrated?

Question: a. do you know what battered woman syndrome is, and if so, b. Does it mitigate the use of violent, even deadly, force at all? Happy to take this to pm or elsewhere as Inunderstand this is off topic.

Women aren’t stupid. But they can be victimized.

Thank you Sy.

An [ABC News/Washington Post survey](Fox News Host Greg Gutfeld Makes Honest Admission About How Trump Has Affected Network Relationships) indicated that, in a head-to-head between Cruz and Trump, 54% of Republicans would choose Cruz, compared with 41% who would choose Trump.

Now of course, that poll has a margin for error, but the fact that Cruz got more than Trump at all conflicts pretty strongly with the media’s narrative that Trump has it in the bag and that those of us who haven’t voted yet really don’t matter.

Wait … so if we were on the Cruz thread then you would pretend that Cruz, rather than Trump, already had the nomination in the bag? :hmmm:

I wouldn’t say Trump has it in the bag, but a lot of states have voted and the map favors Trump. Big picture: I don’t see how Cruz can end up with more delegates than Trump, though I certainly can say Trump may not end up with enough delegates to win on the first ballot.

You would swear that abortion supports believe the child snuck into the Mothers womb one night and is illegally living there. They consider an abortion nothing more than evicting a “squatter”

I have always found it a tad unseemly for non citizens of any country to comment on that country’s elections. I don’t tell Canadians how to vote, for example. And I fear for Canada. I have friends that live there.

Does a similar principle apply when Dems try to tell Republicans that we’ve got to nominate Trump?

👍 Canadians can have an opinion. I find this poster’s discussion a lot more palatable than the overt campaigning by some 🤷 Last I looked, this was a discussion of Trump related campaign issues and angst. No one put up an ‘Americans only’ sign. Though, perhaps, in light of the candidate in question some are hoping others self-deport from the thread?

Abortion has always been available on demand. It used to be called D&C. If you had enough money, you could have a safe abortion. Anyone who thinks it didn’t exist before Roe V. Wade has no clue as to what women have been doing for millennium.
This is true. For centuries. To this day you still find the odd newborn in a trash bin somewhere, McDonalds bathroom, etc. Women have always disposed of unwanted children like this. Drowning puppies and kittens. (which I also oppose) I wonder how many pro-choicers out there agree with me on sparing puppies and kittens but not restricting abortion…😉 At least I am consistent. Save the monarch butterflies, ozone layer and the humans.

The problem with legal abortion is that infanticide is sanctioned by society. The state/each individual determines what is moral. This can go anywhere. It does the most damage to those who engage in it, and then has a trickle down effect on the rest of us. It is spiritual sickness.
