Well apparently, winning in Utah wasn’t helpful to McCain OR Romney…

So IF we were going to use this as any indication, Sanders beating Trump in Utah doesn’t bode well for Sanders, OR the Democrats.

😃
Winning that state gave McCain and Romney more electoral votes… If Trump loses there it just makes his path more difficult, doesn’t it? He is losing or in the margin off error with Clinton, (not with Sanders), in a safe Republican state…

There is absolutely no way, Utah will vote for Clinton in the general election.

No, that’s not what I’m doing. I specifically said that the life of unborn was not different in value, but only in the principle of potentiality. This is a real human life with the same value as an adult or that of a six year old, that must travel perilous months before birth. Care should be taken, though, so that we do not end up being one of those countries that prosecutes fetal demise or early miscarriage.

This is where the (evidently poorly chosen) agricultural analogy comes in; just as there are those who would say that a farmer should be paid a full price for grown hens for every ruined unhatched egg, when what the farmer is holding is truly a handful of ruined potential–well, suffice it to say I see a parallel there. An aborted baby is a baby. Beautiful, valuable, beloved of God. It is also a lifetime of potential, ruined and wasted. If thoughtless, with limited understanding, no less tragic, but certainly not the same as if done by willfully hardened hearts. There must be a penalty, yes, but the waste of two lifetimes? Where is the justice in that?
I don’t think every woman should go to prison forever. That was hyperbole to make a point, kind of poorly chosen like your agricultural analogy. LOL I think we understand each other now. Thanks!

Trump puts GOP House majority in jeopardy

Republicans will probably also lose a majority in the Senate, although they have a difficult map with or without Trump.
I don’t think there can be any doubt that the GOP is in jeopardy, and not just wrt losing a Senate majority.

Who’s putting it in jeopardy depends, I think, on whom you ask: surely those who support Trump would say that those who are campaigning for Cruz are the ones putting the GOP in jeopardy.

On the surface of it, these polls seem hard to believe.
I don’t put a lot of stock in polls, but I do believe Clinton could beat Trump there. Probably not Cruz, though.

And take note of this:

“As polls in Michigan and Ohio previously revealed, a potential Trump nomination would see Republican voters vote in droves for the Democratic nominee. The poll in Utah highlights the degree to which many Republicans won’t vote at all if Trump is the nominee. Republicans aren’t going rally around Trump. Donald Trump also isn’t bringing millions of new people into the Republican camp.”

Yet, unfortunately, winning in Utah didn’t help McCain or Romney anyway…

My mistake. Apologies. Trump didn’t insult Mormons outright, he is just insulting to them. They don’t like his personality, lifestyle, or beliefs. I had it confused with something else, and I don’t know what or I’d say.

Sorry.

I can see Republicans in Utah as not voting at all or perhaps voting for a third-party candidate, but I cannot see them voting for either Clinton or Sanders unless for spite. LOL

Sorry.
He also questioned whether Mitt Romney is really Mormon. Mitt is very popular in Utah. I think that comment insulted a lot of Mormons and is not helping.

Perhaps you could put a disclaimer in all your posts: I believe Trump is insulting to everyone. If he hasn’t insulted them yet, just be patient. Nobody likes Trump, or at least they shouldn’t.

Just a suggestion. 🙂

LOL That’s true. I think a lot of them would just not vote.

Imo, Trump is a lot more qualified than Obama was (or is) to be President…

Was talking about this the other day with a friend, who agreed with me that if Clinton was a Republican, the Dems would be complaining that we don’t want or need the spouse of an impeached President in office. Oh, and that SNL and Hollywood would predictably be all over it.

But there’s nary a peep out of them. Why? Because their rules only apply to everybody else.
You and I may not like Obama, but on paper, he’s more qualified than Trump by a long shot.

1.) Senator
2.) Lawyer
3.) Harvard law grad
4.) President of the Harvard Law Review

Trump just happened to have a rich dad…

Hmm…

I wonder how many Democrats would rather see Cruz get the nomination instead of Trump. And my next question would be, why?

Although for the record, I do like Cruz.

I think that’s what I was thinking of. Too much to remember. Thanks for jogging my memory. That’s not an insult to Mormons, but to Romney, but as you said, Romney is extremely popular in Utah.

Obama was also a professor of Constitutional Law. Trump had the dubious “Trump University.”
