Well, to be fair you don’t seem to see any flaw in anything that he says or does. Seems to me that most of the world sees this as a pretty major position change, however.
Of course I see flaw in Trump but not on this one. He seems to be a big picture person when he gives spontaneous speeches. Tonight’s speech had a lot of preparation in it, probably because he had some advisors that prepped him on many details.

Middle east peace is extremely difficult. He never implied either today or before it was going to be easy.

🤷 Yes, that’s my point. He takes different positions when speaking from his own thoughts and when he is reading what his advisors wrote. So which will he do if elected? Maybe he doesn’t even know.

This is the same with all the candidates. Details must be hashed out but the general direction should be consistent.

OK, I just read a transcript of that speech and did not find that statement in it. The speech was about fighting things like forced child marriages, denying women education and similar issues. I did not see anything about abortion or Catholics. If you can give me a time hack for the supposed quote I would like to hear it in context, but its not in the transcript and does not seem consistent with the speech.
I gave you the video. Why read a censored transcript? Of course Hillary would have it censored. Why not watch the speech and see for yourself what she says?

At 8:50 - The exact quote of Hillary:** “And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed."
**
Do you want to change your religious beliefs because Hillary says they have to be changed?

Hasn’t Bernie Sanders funded his campaign that way?
You don’t think sanders has big corporations backing him financially? Donations in the amount of hundreds of thousands or millions from one source? Sanders doesn’t have super pac?

He says he does not have a super PAC. That is one of the things Sanders is fighting against in his campaign reform effort. His campaign is financed by a huge number of donors who contribute small amounts. And I believe him; in fact, he is the ONLY candidate this primary season whom I believe, with the possible exception of Kasich.

I can see sanders has authenticity about him but his policies are too socialistic.

OK, I listened to it. Still nothing about Catholics or abortion. She was talking about allowing women to participate in society, i.e. politics, education. You will have to do better than taking a quote out of context and then adding words that are not there.

I agree; this is the way this has been perceived; thank you for bringing this to our attention.

No. It is an exact quote: “And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed." Are you in favor of changing your religious beliefs and getting them in line with what Bill and Hillary think they should be?

If it makes you feel better to twist her words in that way, go ahead. I am not a particular fan of Hillary, but I’m also not a fan of misrepresenting anyone’s position.

We agree on something! I think he is very authentic. However, he is, of course, strongly pro-abortion and a proud socialist (though many of his supporters have no idea what that is, as evidenced by interviews I saw.)

First you tell us it is not in the transcript. Now you tell us that it is a twisting of her words. It is not. It is an exact quote - Hillary says that religious beliefs have to be changed?

And if he loses the primary, do you really think his campaign can repay the loans? Many are the candidates who could never recoup their own money.

I have never been to his campaign’s web site. Perhaps I should look. And if people can donate to his campaign, what of it?
It looks like Trump is tied with Kasich on fundraising.

Question: Can a Catholic, in good conscience, vote for someone who is not Christian, like Donald Trump?

Ask him,I guess the point I was trying to make is he doesn’t accept money from them now and therefore would not be beholding to them in the future.🤷
From my perspective, that is not an upside. If we apply the same logic to him, he funds almost all his own campaign, so his presidency will be an exercise in self-interest.
