Trump: ‘How do you know those bruises weren’t there before?’

“Those tapes are very conclusive,” Trump said, before moving on to his defense of Lewandowski. "I told him, ‘**You should never settle this case, you should go all the way.’

“I don’t know if there were bruises from that. Why? Who said there were bruises from that? How do you know those bruises weren’t there before?” Trump said. “She said she had a bruise on her arm. To me, if you’re going to get squeezed, wouldn’t you think she would let out a scream or something if she has bruises on her arm … I don’t know that he put them there.”

Her bruise is on her forearm very close to her hand. The videos don’t show Cory touching her that close to the hand at all, maybe on the upper arm.

Good zingers from Ann Coulter twitter:

"Like Americans everywhere, I know I’ll always remember where I was when news arrived of the tragic assault on Michelle Fields.

Whatever your politics, whatever your ethnicity or religion, please take a moment to pray for the recovery of brave Michelle Fields.

All respect to Harriet Tubman, but it’s Michelle Fields who should go on the $20 bill. Her courage will inspire generations yet unborn."

This is my all time fave!

I’m just wondering if it was Michelle fields to initiate the confrontation, and the campaign manager needed to intervene, why wasn’t this stated much earlier? And why didn’t the secret service agents intervene?

I’m not following the narrative of “no it never happened” to “she was going to attack me with a pencil”. ( his Twitter feed has a close up picture of her hand and he’s wondering what it could be in her hand)

Okay, reading your post was a weird experience – all the more so because I didn’t realize at first that you were quoting Coulter.

Oddly enough, I only became acquainted with her because of O’Reilly having her on.

What destroyed? Couldn’t be be put into another position of Trump Enterprises?
You don’t think it’ll be a loss of fortune for Cory if he’s fired? If trump wins the presidency and cory is the campaign manager, think about his future.

In fact, I think many people will despise trump if he does fire cory, who was there doing the best he could for the sake of trump. They’d despise trump for throwing cory under the bus.

Interesting. People often talk about the possibility that once unbounded e.g. Rubio’s delegates could vote for Cruz; they seldom talk about the possibility that Rubio’s delegates could vote for Trump.
Most delegates are party loyalists rather than candidate loyalists. Trump is the least likely candidate that unbound party loyalists would vote for. It is far more likely that unbound Rubio delegates would vote for Cruz - or Kasich - than for Trump. In fact, even the delegates assigned to vote for Trump on the first ballot would be more likely on a second ballot to vote for someone they believe is a more fitting representative of the Republican party.
