Trump on CNN town hall about negative ads against him:

$68 million for 56,000 negative ads, mostly false. Trump asked himself how was it possible to win? He says, “God helped me.”

thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/274624-ex-miss-wisconsin-tears-up-thanking-trump-at-rally

"A Donald Trump supporter who claimed to be Miss Wisconsin 2005 thanked the GOP front-runner in an emotional moment at a Tuesday rally for his help as she struggles with an incurable disease.

She thanked Trump for sending her a handwritten note and said it lifted her spirits after she decided to sign a “Do Not Resuscitate” order as her condition worsened.

She repeated multiple times that her son is a Mexican-American and that Trump’s generosity helped him."

She lied because she was not thrown to the floor. Cory may have touched her upper arm but the bruise she showed was on her forearm.
I have not been on this site close to almost two years----for personal reasons. Most of you will not remember me.

Boy, am I glad to be back.

Some points to respond to this:
  1. Ultimately, for me, this is not an issue of whether Michelle Fields was offline in pressing close to Trump. It is is the fact that Trump And Lewandowski denied this from this first. First, they said it never happened. Then, they say----“yes, it did, but it was not that bad.” Then then they say—"yes, it happened, and it is her fault for getting so close to trump in the first place.
  2. At first Fields did not want to press charges—she told Shapiro that (and yes, I trust him). It is actually he who basically half-convinced her to press charges----and she only did that anyway after she had been thrown out to sea by HER OWN BOSSES, who first said she was “mistaken” in her assertion that Lewandowski had manhandled her, then said she was outright lying.----all for the sake of kissing Trump’s rear end----when even your own bosses and all of the Trump campaign accuse of being a liar and a fame-seeker one can see why one would want to clear one’s name.
  3. Like some news outlets have intimated----why did Lewandowski have to interfere at all? Yes, she supposedly had been warned twice by the Secret Service to back off, but was not that THEIR job to effectively execute, not Lewandowski? This is the second time he ahs been accused of attacking someone when it was not his job to do so----remember about a month ago when he was shown on footage jostling a protester down in the middle of the floor at some rally? Why does he do that?
  4. According to Shapiro, he actually informed Fields through one of her editors that he was sorry and that “had he known she was from Breitbart, he would never have done it.” Apparently he thought she was a left-wing hostile journalist. If so----still wrong and no excuse----but admit it!-----don’t lie and say it never happened.
  5. She NEVER said she was thrown down. She said she was pulled backwards and almost lost her footing but regained it. She never said he threw her down.
This could have been solved by a simple apology and it would have been over. She herself said on Megyn Kelly’s show that she tended towards dismissing the whole thing (even with the bruises) as part of the job-----but that her SMEARING of her reputation by her BOSSES and the Trump campaign-----calling her a liar and intimating she made the whole thing up-----forced her into the position she was on at the moment. Shapiro also half-convinced to do it, so you can “blame” him as well, if you want to.

He could have at least said----“Yes, I grabbed her, but it was because I let my concerns for my boss’s safety override my better judgment and I thought she was too close to him. OTOH, she should not have touched him or come too close to him—but still, I overstepped my boundaries and did the bodyguard’s work for them. I apologize wholeheartedly.”

But he did not do that. Instead. they tried to destroy her reputation with smears.

Because Donald Trump never apologizes.

And that is part of the reason I will not vote for him if he wins the nomination. I will not vote for Hillary either----because she is even worse than Trump.

Having to vote for two unacceptable anti-godly candidates and choosing the “less evil” is not an acceptable choice for me.

So I will stay home. If Hillary wins, it was God’s will anyway and we are not to question his business. Somehow I get the feeling that whatever choice we decide on, our beloved, blessed country is on its last legs. I weep for that.

Still, I will live in it and watch it turn out its last glorious lights.

To those that want to rile me for not voting, go ahead. I am following my conscience and my religious beliefs. :(😦

How did trump ruin her reputation? Who made this a story in the first place? Who made the accusation? When she made the accusation what was she looking for?

Cory hardly even looked at her. He simply brushed her aside and walked on. He would have remembered and apologized if he indeed assaulted her. But he didn’t.

It’s clear that your post is a grudge against trump not cory. You really believe cory should be punished for what happened in the video? You want to live in a society where that can be defined as assault and taken to court?

I am baffled that anyone still supports him. Utterly baffled.

I am starting to think Trump and his staff sit around in his man cave and try to come up with the most absurd ideas just as a goof on the public.

According to your logic, Michelle Fields should then sue trump campaign for defamation of character not assault.

You said she didn’t lie. She said,

"I was** jolted backwards. **…

I **almost fell to the ground, **but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken. …

Campaign managers aren’t supposed to try to forcefully throw reporters to the ground, no matter the circumstance."

Watch the videos. Nothing like she described happened. She hardly changed her expression.

I don’t support Trump and never have, but I do support him against the attacks of Michelle Fields. If she didn’t want to br part of this story, she shouldn’t have complained when she failed to move back as requested, nor would she have been giving her story and head shot to any reporter who asks for it.

I can’t see anything happening to her in the videos that have been posted. Nothing. She’s the one who reaches out and pulls on Trump’s arm. And he certainly did nothing to ruin her reputation! Is it ruined? I’d have to ask her how?

I don’t want Trump as president, but fair is fair. In this case, Trump, and his staff, are innocent.

I have to bite back a laugh at the way we’re constantly hearing Dems say stuff “I don’t support Trump but …” (maybe tomorrow I count how many times).

Obviously any Dem, whether they want to see Hillary or Bernie in the White House, should want Trump to get the GOP nomination.

From today’s Guardian:
In a television town hall in Milwaukee with CNN on Tuesday night, Trump insisted he had been “treated very unfairly” by the Republican National Committee and the establishment and revoked the commitment he signed in September. Although the Republican frontrunner previously hinted that he might do so, saying the RNC was “in default”, he had never explicitly revoked his commitment until Tuesday.
The statement came as Trump stood by Corey Lewandowski, his embattled campaign manager, who was captured on tape forcibly grabbing a reporter for the right-wing website Breitbart after a press conference. Trump suggested that the reporter, who had been screened by the secret service in order to be allowed in the candidate’s vicinity, may have been carrying a bomb.

That reporter may have been carrying a bomb?

She isn’t suing. She is pressing charges. There is a difference. The DA apparently believes that the evidence is sufficient to charge him.

The Trump campaign gets stranger and stranger. Trump has hired Florida attorney Kendall Coffey to defend Lewandowski and Coffey himself is a former US attorney who resigned after allegations that he bit an exotic dancer on the arm at a nightclub.

I think you can be a good Democrat and a wonderful Catholic, and I’m sure you are a terrific Catholic. You show that in the high quality of your posts.

A blessed Easter to you!
It’s not so much about party affiliation as it is about principles.

I liked the post shared about how the Democrat (woman?) was looking to change the party’s platform on abortion. 👍

Do you disagree with our Holy Father, Pope Francis, who respects other religions? Pope Francis has openly said that people of other religions, and even people with no religion at all, will end up in heaven.
Yes, I disagree with him…. am I am ALLOWED to!
