Have not gone to any rallies, nor do I intend to get the vaccine

Don’t you believe the President? he says these things are and will be safe

They may or may not be.I didn’t get a flu shot up until six years ago, only because my daughter insisted if I wanted to babysit my grandkids.
I’m not anti vaccine, but no I won’t be first in line, what’s your point?

I think that people who are voting for Trump and insist that he has never lied about the virus should be the first in line for the vaccine. Sort of a putting your money where your mouth is. I also think that they should be going to the rallies.

If they can’t/won’t do these things, then I am left with the conclusion that they really don’t trust Trump. As others have said, actions speak louder than words.

Seriously? Uhhhh,no…Trump hasn’t lied.In fact he is being responsible in that the vaccine has been put on hold temporally due to a bad reaction by someone in the testing group.
Re the vaccine when it is available, my opinion is let those who want it get it,much like this whole sheltering in place issue.Let those who want to work do so.Its a free country, let the individual decide.

When I was a smoker, laws were made that told me I could not exhale smoke in public places, business, parks, with x# of feet from doorways.

Why was it okay to take away my right to exhale smoke but it is not all right to take away your right to exhale covid-19 germs.

Bad analogy. My premise is allow those who want to work to do so. Wear a mask, whatever. To close down society and The economy out of fear of a virus is detrimental on many levels. Those who are scared etc, stay home, why should their fear prevent others from making a living?

It is the same thing. I was forced away from other people to smoke. If people don’t wear masks, they should not be allowed near others. Also, people should have to wear shirts, shoes, and other appropriate clothing.

I thought Trump was excellent in this town hall. The “mediator” is a former Bill Clinton mouthpiece, so hardly an impartial journalist, and the questioners I felt were at times rather rude. But Trump seemed ready to listen, and he didn’t allow them to rattle him at all.
At times he didn’t really answer the question, but since they were posed in order to trap him I think it was the smart move.

If you re read my posts you will see that I said wear masks,I don’t disagree with that.

You also said that Trump didn’t lie about how serious the virus is. So why aren’t you attending rallies. I already know you won’t get the vaccine no matter what Trump says about it. I don’t understand why not.

I know if reputable scientists (not Trump) say that it is safe, I will be getting it.

We have different definitions of lying.

“It’s like the flu” is a lie when you know it is 5 (yes, five) times worse than the flu.

That old canard?

I think the people voting for Biden should be the first to experience all the crap he promotes too. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. I don’t recall seeing a tax hike targeting Democrats under Jimmy Carter, or seeing the price of oil higher for Democrats than Republicans in 1978.

There is no way the vaccine will be available if the science doesn’t support it; there would be no way to keep a lid on that. Take the vaccine or don’t. Funny how the left has suddenly become the anti-vaxxer crowd now that Trump promotes it.

If you are going to parse and interpret the meaning of the word “like” as intended, go for it. Using such a silly metric, every President is a liar and they all have lied to you. Must be tough living in a world where everyone lies to you daily, frankly.

Trump says it will be out soon, most likely by Nov 3. Are you saying that he is lying?

People have to come up with too many rationalizations and explanations for Trump. Trump makes me think of Professor Higgins’ song about women.

It’s not Trump, it’s his followers. Are you going to his rallies to show support? If not why not. You could always drive to one, make a vacation out of it.
